Do you think anybody here on OT will actually live long enough to see the 22nd century? I seriously doubt I will since if I did I would be 120, unless some new technology comes out in the next couple of decades that make us live a lot longer (the oldest person who ever lived died at 122 years old but she was a woman). And if you could do you think you would even want to?

Yes, I'm aware this is probably a stupid question but I'm bored and didn't sleep yet even though I have to work tomorrow around this time....

I would be 109 years old. Somehow, I doubt I'll see half of that age.

I'd be 107 years old. I don't think I'll ever reach that age.

considering advances in medicine etc., living to be 107, as it would be for me, may not be as ridiculous as one might think

Will 21st century medical technology prolong our lifespan? If not, then humans have failed.

though there are medical advances they are slow advances.., it is not enough compared to the rapidly deteriorating way of how people handle their lives(overworked, abuse, contact to disease, etc.) I'd just look on this century and see what the most I can do to live my (sadly) limited life.

Depends on how medical technology advances.

the 1900's were the dark ages compared to now, so who knows what will be around then.

21st century started in 2001.

22nd century would be interesting to see, but I'll probably be gone by 20-30 years before then.

Um, yah it did.

I don't feel like derailing a thread though, so lets just agree that I'm right.

You are right. The fist 100 years of these 2011, were called the zero century.

Say what? We've just started the 12th year of the 21st century - 11 have already passed...

In relation to your question though - very very very unlikely. I'd be 113 in 2100... bummer.

I'd be 115 in the year 2100, so extremely doubtful. Medicine, I think it is safe to say, is not going to advance that much.
