[QUOTE="Hungry_bunny"][QUOTE="Rhazakna"][QUOTE="Hungry_bunny"]I think you guys are exaggerating a little bit, there's no doubt in my mind that an American can visit any restaurant/square/park/beach in most countries in Europe without getting bad attitude by any of the people around you.Rhazakna
Probably. Vocal anti-Americanism is mostly online, it seems.
Yes, I've seen lots of that just in this board. But that's usually more of a shot at the "politics" conducted there, not the 300 million individuals living there. But even if a loud American guy went around in Paris with a T-shirt saying "Bush Rules" I'd be surprised if anybody cared.
If you go to youtube, or other sites with a large userbase, there's tons of blatant xenophobia. Not criticisms of the government, just bigotry.
To be fair though I have seen just as much xenophobia from Americans, in particular towards the Middle East, Asia and Russia.
Its just a byproduct of the internet giving people anonynimity to say what they want without repurcusions.
