The reason a lot of people are against nuclear power is because they associate it with nuclear bombs. People seem to think that they are capable of exploding like nuclear bombs.

I think it's more the problem with the waste it makes.

I think it's more the problem with the waste it makes.

That's not really a problem a lot of nuclear plants store the waste on site. They store in very large, air tight, metal containers that are stored 30ft under water (in a covered pool on site of the nuclear plant) Nuclear waste stored in that fashion won't hurt or effect anyone or anything.

I think Australia should go solar, we get so much concentrated sunlight that we could cover the Simpson desert in solar panels and then get enough power to run the whole country.

And they will stay there for the next 500 years(or was it thousand of years?)?
