Numbing For a Few Days

So I was just wondering if something has been numb for a few days, what that exactly meant. Obviously it isn't good, but I was just wondering how bad.

The ground was numb recently.

If you touch it, it can't feel you.

It can mean a lot of things such as poor circulation, damaged nerve, or heart attack.
