My question is why conservatives or anyone would defend assasins? Is is because they wanted to kill Obama? They were found with guns in the car and where planning on killing 88 blacks at a school.

Unless this story is biased or wrong, I see no mention of them trying to kill 88 blacks in a school. It sounds like it was 3 three racist guys who started having drug-induced delusions and planned to kill Obama. While I can see your point, they were in Colorado while Obama was in Wisconsin so there wasn't any real threat. It seems to me that since their "plan" was so spur-of-the-moment, unrealistic, and somewhat drug-induced, it wouldn't make sense to convict them of conspiracy to commit murder. They WERE charged for the other offenses and unless you can show a source for it, I highly doubt they were let go.

Argueing if it actually happened is one thing.. But actually suggesting that these guys are just a "harmless bunch of idiots" after doing death threats (WHICH ARE ILLEGAL) on top of finding a stockpile of WEAPONS in their car is ludicrious.. What they did was against the law it was beyond a reaonsable doubt that they were conspiring to murder, with not only linking direct death threats to them, but being caught with a stockpile of weapons in their vehicle. Setting any kind of partisanship or politics, this was a crime that was serious and they were let go when they had more then enough evidence to convict.
