Obama needs a chance?

Ok there is a lot of hate towards Obama right now especially because of the spending. I know there are many earmarks(2%) but everyone is using them both Dems and Reps. I really wanted the Clinton years back or Al gore that was going to try to pay of the US debt. Instead we got Bush and you saw what happened. Now I think that regardless of whether we agree or not with the current government its going to get a chance weather we wanted or not. If the economy is not up and running by 2012 even Obama said himself he would not be in office if the country is not up and running.

I agree...all of the Bush bashing that happened during the past eight years grew more than tiresome. People don't have to agree with Obama. I don't agree with his stance on many policies...but he is the leader of the USA now and should at least be given an opportunity to prove himself. Maybe the Obama administration's policies will actually help the US. Maybe not. I'm just of the opinion that he should be given a chance. I gave Bush a chance. Now it's somebody else's turn.

This is a ridiculous post. Just because he doesn't agree with your economic model in which one doesn't spend doesn't mean that he is responsible for the horrendous economy. In a few years, when we start seeing the effects off his keynesian economic model (which is the basis of the spending), the economy will be all his. But he's only been in office for a month and a few weeks as of now.

Such hyberbole. He'll probably put more restrictions on them andat wosrtwill try to re-instate an assault weapons ban (which is one thing I disagree with him completely on), but he's not taking away everybody's guns. That's ridiculous.

You have no problem with the government stepping all over people's second amendment right? If guns are to be outlawed, there better be a damn good justificafion. As of yet, I've never heard one from the anti-gun lobby. Maybe you can offer up one that actually makes sense?

I don't think we are at a time where we would need weapons to take over the government. I don't think the US soldiers would fire against their own people. We do not live in a monarchy or a comunist state where freedom of speech does not exist.illegalimigrant

Although as much as I would like to have an AK-47 I see the danger in making them legal. To tell you the truth I dont care what the writers of the constitution were thinking. It was a very good idea back then but its not that relevant now. The only way you could take over the government in an armed coflict fighting against the US army is if you had Tanks, Artillery, Jets, etc. There is no way citizens of the US could take on the army without all these technologies.
