They are just doing what is best for you, regardless of what you want.I don't see how people do not get enough walking in the cities. I'd kill to have at least one store or gas station closer than 8 miles to me.They should also enforce a mandatory 36 minutes of exercise per day, punishable by further taxes if you dont.

She fell through right outside Atomic Wings. That can't be a coincidence.
lol That's embarrassing. I hope it will at least inspire her to lose weight. Next time she might not be so lucky.

Could go either way. If she were even heavier her lipid life preserver might catch on the ground around her and catch her after the cave-in.
Man now aint that some sh!t.
This fat fvck spends her life doing nothing but eating and lounging around like a snorlax and now she's going to get paid(obvious lawsuit) for it too?

Good excercise, though. I walk to a store 4 miles from home 4 times a week.

Oh it is! But I have a 133 acre farm so I get enough of that. 4 miles one way isn't bad however. Mostly for me its for saving gas.ban fat people from airplanes too. They break the seats
wis3boi
Yes, ban them for safety reasons.. I love it. Some airlines do charge extra if you spill into the seats next to you. The seats are made with a certain standard in mind. They can't accommodate people who are just too damn wide.

Wear long sleeves with wrap underneath and douse the elbows with powder fiberglass? That fat will move I am sure.I hope the woman got plenty of support from friends and family after sych an ordeal, because she certainly won't be getting any from Earth.

no, if you decrease the number of calories coming in to less than the ones burned you lose weight.people are fat because they lack self control; they eat too much and exercise too little.
What you're saying is stupid.
People should not be punished for not conforming to the government's preferred body type. That would be a tyrannical violation of our rights. Also, this woman didn't fall through the sidewalk just because she was obese. The sidewalk clearly was not stable. I wouldn't want to walk on a sidewalk that can't even support a few hundred pounds. They have a fat tax in japan and they have like 2% overweight people.

NO!. It's simple physics, yeah i know what you mean, some people have higher metabolic rates than others and will gain less weight while eating the same amount. However this is still not an excuse. If you are someone who get's fat from eating only one hot dog, then eat 1/2 a hot dog. It's simple physics, it's simple biochemistry. You WILL lose weight as long as you consume less than the energy you burn, no matter how low your metabolic rate is. You just have to eat less. Most people who say "I eat "normal meals" yet still gain weight, have no idea what a normal sized meal is... If you eat little and still get fat, EAT LESS! end of discussion. This thread is deceptive; the woman didn't fall through concrete, but through metal grating, which is essentially a face-down fence that's built into the ground.

Taxes are not a tyrannical violation of rights. If you cost the country more money, you pay more. The obese result in greater health care expenditure. People who own homes or property must pay property taxes because the cost per capita to keep up roads, sidewalks, etc goes up.. People who drive must pay additional taxes on gas because of all the costly effects it has. There is nothing tyrannical about that. They have a fat tax in japan and they have like 2% overweight people.

No body anywhere should have to accommodate fat people for anything. I know some one is going to say Im discriminating, but in this case.... f*ck it. Fat people dont deserve anything, they still have their civil rights and everything else, but its their fault if they have gotten to a certain condition where their rights arent available for them. Some people will still be fat even if they eat less, and some will still be thin if they eat like pigs. When I was younger, I was a living proof of the latter.lightleggy*raises hand* Count me in as another person who's really slim and never gains weight, even by eating a lot sometimes, and a lot of the food being junk food or food that can be really fattening.
Obese people are a disease and we should just deport them, or put them in camps. That would solve all these first-world problems, would it not?
Sarcasm of course. I'm sure few people here know the stigma of being obese and trying but failing to do something about it for a long time. My wife was obese for years, trying almost everything: diet, exercise, counseling, nutritionists. Nothing worked for the longest time. But she found something and lost 100 pounds. She did get treated differently and negatively, though she was trying as hard as she could to change.
If the general public and perhaps the government could be a little more understand and helpful, many of you wouldn't have to b1tch and moan so much
If you don't exercise enough then the government taxes you. I don't want the government controlling my diet and exercise habits. No one should have that degree of control over someone else. The fact that obese people are leeching others for their healthcare expenses is a compelling argument against socialization of healthcare. We need less government control, not more. Obese people should be free to choose their own diet and exercise habits, and they should bear the responsibility of the consequences their choices have on their lives. And the existing tax policy is institutionalized theft, so citing it as proof that a fat tax isn't tyrannical is meaningless.

I'm no fattie, but I know that people's bodies are different. I know people that eat 4000 calories a day consisting of mostly junk food, and they stay thin sitting on their asses all day. Then I know people who eat 2000 calories, work out 4 times a week, and are still a little heavy.
By and large, people who are actually obese do have a self-control problem. That's not always the case though.
