Offer your advice OT!

Helloooo OT... :)

Its time for you guys to go about one of your favorite pastimes once again... :D

Its time for some girl-advice!

Now now- hear me out... :oops: Here's the situation... :D

There's this girl I REALLY want to stay friends with at the dance studio I'm going to...

This is because the studio could go down the pipes at any time right now- its not doing well... :|

And if the studio goes down- I lose contact with the girl... :cry:

So I asked her if she was on Facebook or if we could exchange phone numbers...

And she turned me down... :(

Because of Fraternization concerns... :!:

"Aha! She's revealed her true colors already you fool!" :evil:

"She's just using that as an excuse!" :roll:

"She doesn't really want to be friends with you!" I hear you cry... Now now- you haven'tread everything yet... :P

When she explained her concern- I totally understood- because I know that she is a very nice and honestgirl (She was raised in Japan for 15 years- and her parents are Missionaries). That's the main reason I like her so much- she's so- innocent- I guess would be the word... :) She doesn't have any inkling of an attitude that some girls my age have.

So I just backed off from the subject-and things have continued as normal ever since. But my worries still remain... :(

How would you guys in OT handle this? :D Tell me your thoughts OT- I is curious! :D

Despite her innocence, I would still be inclined to believe that she really does not want a relationship outside of the dance studio. -she was letting you down easy rawsavon

This possibility was definitely in my headafter that conversation... :?

But I was actually the one who directly offered her the option of just saying 'not comfortable' at the time (she didn't really seem willing to shut me down completely on her own- so I was the one who politely just offered her the option of backing out). So it seemed much more likely that it was legitimate Fraternization concerns rather than a lack of interest in being friends outside of the studio.

Especially given how well we get along. I could be interpreting this wrong though of course... :P

On the off chance that I am wrong (here comes the advice part) -wait till it is getting closed down...hopefully there will be at least one class warning...then tell her that you would hate to lose contact forever and ask againrawsavon

Ah- given how utterly disorganized they are as it is- it will probably be closed down with little to no warning. :|

A few of my other friends there have openly stated that every time they come- they wouldn't be surprised if they found the doors locked...

I think I'm dizzy from all those emoticons. >__>

I don't know what to tell you. I agree with Exploited on this, she didn't give you her phone number or even her facebook, so I'm not really sure how you'd keep in contact with her.

there's your problem. just kidding :P but seriously, sounds like you already took your chance, which i think you did the right thing in doing, but i don't think it would hurt to ask again when it gets closer to closing down.

Sounds like she's not interested, leave it at that.
