My prom is in 2 weeks and i didn't know i was supposed to start asking like 1 month ago. i dont have a date, and money is no problem i can buy any damn suit i want, i can even buy her a ticket. but i need tips. am i supposed to go in guns blazing and start asking the girls that i think are hot and see if theyll go? or should i wait until the actual prom and just ask there. either way im screwed but help me quick, im not going to miss this chance and be thinking what if for the rest of my life. our prom is at the california 4 star hotel.

Just take your sister, that's what I did. Everyone was asking me who the hotty was and I told them all that I was banging her. Best thing I ever did, I got a lot of respect that night.

Yes. Do NOT wait till prom to ask girls, cause thats just weird. They would already have their dates, and you would just not get anywhere. Your suppose to start asking a week before tickets go on sale...

If I remember correctly the trick in highschool is just to ask. Honestly find a girl that you find is attractive and that you know doesn't have a date and you'll be golden. Just remember confidence is key, just walk u and be like, "hey I was wondering if you want to go to prom." No b.s, just be direct and everything will work out.

Once you've decided on your potential date, hire a mariachi band to provide musical accompaniment when you ask. Consider clamping a rose between your teeth while you do so. You may have left things a little late but this should charm the lady's socks off, and that counts for a lot. Alcohol will help with this part of the process (help you that is, not her).
If finances will stretch, bring the mariachi band along to the actual event. Guaranteed success.
As my history teacher always says, "Slap on some Old Spice, drive to her house, knock on the door, and say, 'Come on, woman, we're going to prom,' " and then proceed to sweep her off her feet and carry her to your car :P

i have the feeling your probably right, We have it in Scotland too, complete joke... people in my year have already gotten there dates and its 13 months away.
Simple solution would be not to go, its what i intend to do unless there are extreme circumstances :P

We don't have it in my school in Scotland. Although we do have a Christmas dance, which is like an American prom but Christmas themed and with Scottish Country dancing. It's so much fun!
In my school i bet everyone will just ask there freinds out ( not girlfreinds but just freinds ) its supposed to be peaple who you fancy. And by the way last year there was a prom for this other year and the head of the year gave out vouchers to BUY suits and dresses for £100 for free and you can keep then for ever, just for the last year final prom. Thats what im talking about.
