OMG! Scientology!

if you are in this thread, im guessing your religous in some way...(if ur a scientologist, im not trying to offend) anyway, does anyone know a thing about scientology and what they believe or anything?

im kinda confused about the whole thing =\

TC, scientology is just based off of sci-fi writings of a guy who seemed to have gone mad. Scientology uses classic brainwash technics to keep in their members who are attracted in simply for searching for truth, its kinda like a trap.

Also many ppl who leave scientology have killed themselves out of mental trama.

But i've given up trying to insult religions entirely (Including scientology, it's still a religion), my girlfriend is a devout catholic and as long as she does not bother me with getting up at 9am and going to church, i'm happy.

P.S.: I usually wake up at 6pm, so you can see the problam with 9am..

The thing about Scientology is that "outsiders" aren't allowed to know what they believe, and even believers aren't told what they believe until they are extremely devoted, so it would take someone who was a Scientologist for many years to leave and tell the truth.

Thankfully, people have done that.

Scientology is a dangerous, violent cult.

i read somewhere that he wanted money and wasnt getting enough writing books and said if you want money, make a religion, and he did.... that would explain the fact that you need so much money to get in

Scientology is certainly a very disturbing cult (note I said cult, not religion as it claims to be), there is a website which has a ton of stuff about them (meaning evidence) but I'd probably get banned just for mentioning the site name. :(

Well the site I got my info from is currently in a legal battle to prevent it being taken down, governments try to take it down, companies etc are always attacking it and so on.

So I doubt GS will take kindly to me saying the name of it. lol

I just heard that they believed some dude took over some planet or galaxy, captured people then flown them on spaceships that look a lot like Boeing jets. Got all these people here to earth, then put them at the bottom of every volcano on the planet, then somehow made all the volcano's erupt. This caused the majority of the people to die and their thetans(souls) were released, some however survived and from those survivors comes us. All of the thetans of the people who died attached themselves to the living bodies of the people that didn't die from the volcanic eruptions. That dude was eventually caught and placed in a prison somewhere.

I'm not joking, this is what I heard. I'm not religious at all, I'm an Atheist and find all religion's quite ridiculous. So this story I heard about what Scientologist believe doesn't sound any stranger to me than what Christians, Muslims or any other religions believe.
