My answer varies depending upon what you mean by smart. Are you talking about the amount of random or specific knowledge I might have, my ability to use reason, my capability to learn and retain information, or general wisdom?
a 1, sure all those tests i took in the past put me in the 99th percentile in every result but all that ever did was make me realize how truly stupid i am.
Id say a 9 maybe 10 if im really into something. I think many have the preconceived notion that being smart is about how much you know when it isnt imo. I would say its your ability to learn and solve problems is what determines how smart you are. You may not know something at first but if you wanted to could you learn it? That's the question that should be asked. Intelligence is about how well you slay ignorance.
Being ignorant doesn't mean your dumb or not smart just unaware. Now if you are aware or have been made aware and still cant get it right then you have a problem.
I'm not sure if being 'smart' is the ability to attain knowledge, or the amount of knowledge we have accumulated over the years. I'm well on my way to medical school and have pretty good grades, but I recognize the fact that there are a lot of people studying sciences that are well above me in terms of how quick they are intellectually. So it's all relative, but I believe I'm relatively smart.
Smart enough not to say an 8, 9 or a 10... Honestly, I'm probably not even a 7...6 out of 10 might be pushing it as well...hmmm, I believe I'm smarter than a 5 out of 10. Let's say I'm a solid 5.5 out of 10. :)
Probably 6/10. I don't take school as seriously as I used to because I have come to despise all the irrelevant classes and assignments that I am forced to do
