I say it's the best 2010 movie followed by ghost writter

Haven't seen it so I'm giving it a 7. 2 points off for not seeing it and 1 point off because my dreams are better.
It was good, the concept was fantastic and original, the writing was good and the effects were mezmerizing.
I hated the ending though.
Agreed, Toy Story 3 was much more intellectually provoking than Inception could "dream" of being. I was under the impression the subject matter of Inception would be a combination of existentialist embargo coupled with its own theory of relativity that sums up human existence.Second only to Toy Story 3 this year. I think it could have better and it wasn't as intellectually provoking as I had thought it would be, but I still had a great time with it.

I rate it an 8 out of 10. It was very entertaining, but I didn't really understand the story that well nor did I get the physics of the dreams. What did Cobb mean by going "home"? Why couldn't they imagine all the bad guys to be absent in their dreams? How come none of the people that were with Cobb and were getting shot at by the dozen got hurt besides that one guy whose name I don't remember?Genetic_Code
That's exactly what I mean by the ending sucked. When the top kept spinning and it cut mid spin it made you assume that it all well could've been a dream and nothing was accomplished. Also, we have no sense of time in the movie, if Cobb had to leave his children because his wife framed him, why at the end of the movie, haven't they changed in the slightest? I hate it.
It was a good movie, but it is quickly becoming overrated. This is no dark knight (which itself became overrated by the fanbase).
Still, TS3 is the best movie of the year. Pixar made millions bawl their eyes out for 20+ minutes with a movie about toys. Now that is an accomplishment.

I simply feel like Inception didn't live up to its own storyline's immense potential, it felt bloated with tons of seemingly intricate rules in the way the universe worked, which was interesting in itself but the rules and structure of it all stripped away the magic and sponaneity a movie based almost entirely inside the human psyche should provide.Second only to Toy Story 3 this year. Awesome out of Awesome.
It was an expertly paced thriller with no illusions about itself, it didn't try to have meaning that applied to our world, it just focused on providing fantastic entertainment within its own world and did it marvelously. Characters could've been developed better, and only the hotel really sticks out as an excellent action setpiece, the mountain fortress scenes were a little bland. Don't go in expecting something deep, mind-blowing, philosophical, or anything, just expect a smarter than most action thriller with a select few intricacies and tricks up its sleeves and you won't be disappointed.

In all honesty, I thought that Inception kicked The Dark Knight's ass.
Although I was never that much of a fan of The Dark Knight to begin with.

Agreed. Far better than Dark Knight.Disappointed/10. I never found the concept believable at all. I've probably said it before, but subconcious "security agents" (bald guys with guns)? (Literal) vaults/safes that contain your secrets (in document form, of course)? Shapeshifting into people in the dream, just based on a few manorisms? The whole thing just felt incredibly far-fetched, hell, The Matrix was much better formed in my opinon (in terms of the concept).
Not even close to Nolan's best, in fact I enjoyed his first film, "Following", a lot more than I did this.
I did not watch it, but if it had any chance to be awesome, you guys have ruined it by keep making topics about it.GazaAliLol. It does make things unappealing after a while. Sort of like having to eat the same food every day.
Well, imo,
The ending did not matter as a top spinning/falling thing. Cobb didn't care whether or not it fell. He was just happy to see his kids face and in turn, makes the ending a happy one. In the credits the kids have 2 sets of actors each, probably indicating older and younger versions of the kids. Happens with any movie that videogame nerds hype up.
