You're walking a long and a Genie appears before you.

He offers you a gift: Every day that you live, you live twice. If you accept this gift, there is no choice in the matter, every day that you live after acceptance you will see one more time before you proceed to the next day.

You would remember everything that happened the first time you lived the day, and you would have the opportunity to change anything you have power to change on the second time you live the day.

Remember though, if you accept the gift, you have to live EVERY day twice, good or bad.

Would you accept this gift?

Make them feel more miserable? If you really love them you wouldn't have let them die in the first place....no thanks.

Nah. How would that play out in the space time continuum anyways? I'd rather lose sleep but never get tired. Think of what you can accomplish in 24 hours.

why the hell would anyone say no?Jandurin
If you're in school, you'd have to take every test twice, and write every paper twice. At work, you'd have to complete every project twice. It would be awesome to correct your mistakes, but on days where there weren't any significant mistakes, you'd still have to re-do everything. It would just be too much effort.

So, on unimportant days where you don't think you'll be able to change anything, go out to the park instead of going to work on the first day of anything. Also, the ability to take tests twice would be *awesome*.

Not really, you couldn't keep a hard copy of it, you'd have to memorize everything on it... And if you enjoy the first day, and then correct it the second, what if you make a mistake on the second day? You're screwed.

I definitely would. Sure you'll have those days where a family member dies and whatnot but its honestly already terrible. Doing it twice isnt going to matter much.

I always wished i could get trapped in a cycle like the movie groundhog day.

One word...Lottery.

Also, you'd be able to save people's lives like on that show "Early Edition", you obviously wouldn't be able to save everyone, just victims of the most heinous crimes, and single hotties who would be ever so greatful you were there to rescue them 8)

Well going off the logistics of the proposed situation im assuming that if you died on the first day you could relive and thus change it on the second day. However, if you die on the second day you stay dead which in reality is the exact same situation you have already.

Good question, what if you never see it coming, like if you get hit in the head by a stray bullet or if an Acme anvil falls on your head?

That sounds good at first but then think about it: you would have to suffer death multiple times. I mean if you died one day by a gunshot then you could re-do your day so that doesn't happen but then you might die later from a heart attack. You would have to experience death so many times I don't know if I would want to make that sacrifice.

It would be a pain in the *** to do the same things over again considering you would already know what happens,(I would only play games on the second days lol) but overall it would be amazingly useful to be able to change things on the second day. Like if a friend gets in a car crash, you could talk them out of driving the second day, and things like that.

Yeah. I was going to say that you could bet on stuff and win a bunch of money, but your would have to be careful with racing and stuff because they might not turn out the same both times. I dunno, it would be weird and people would get really suspicious of you if you aren't careful.

And then you get killed instead. You could have some major Final Destination s*** going down. Also, if you die on the first day would it be like Groundhog Day where you come back to life or do you just die?
