Online Forum Pet Peeves?

Not just for GS, but are there any annoyances you find with things you see on online forums? For example, I get annoyed when I see people bumping topics and not adding anything to the discussion, or making a topic that's already being discussed at that very moment.

When people think they're so smart but in reality they have absolutely no knowledge on the matter :P It's actually funny

Hijacked threads of maybe a few posters not really commenting on thread anymore but have their own convo going in a thread. I don't PM that often , but I use it when I want to ask someone something or mention an idea that was brought up.

Not for forums, but when I'm watching a live stream of say a new video game, and the watchers always agree with the caster no matter what just to get on their good side. So I guess people sucking up.

The endless debates over stupid s***.Nobody is right or wrong IMO just stupid.

My main gripe with one of my two fav forums >>GS..OT should be OT but the rules are so weird I dunno WTH is even allowed.

I kid. Seriously though, I find a lot of avatars and signature images (especially the freaking gigantic ones that take up half your screen ARGHRAGE) to be very annoying.

I hate when I make a great point (it happens from time to time) and it ends up being the last post on a page. Like, the last post on page 2 and the next post goes to page 3......... so who knows if anyone actually bothers to see it. I'm sure a lot of people (as I do) just go to the last page to get caught up.

I quite enjoy this, actually. I will post something that I think is completely harmless. And someone will still come up with something to argue about in it. I think it is entertaining. My favorite is when it is just over semantics, like the way I used a word in a sentence.

The differences between except/accept, too/to, they're/their/there, you're/your. It bothers the crap out of me that nobody seems to know when to use what version of these words.

lol. I can understand if english is not their first language. I'm talking about more then just forums though. Places where you know the person knows english.

Making a well informed post and being completely ignored. And being modded for a joke (I've lost so many points thanks to my sense of humor).

When people say imo or something similar. We already know that it's your opinion, you don't need to waste both our time for no reason.

How difficult is it to type a colon in place of the "X"?:?

It's annoying when the people with the minority opinion insist on complaining about those with the majority opinion instead of making a good point.
