Opeth fans ?

Anyone here a fellow fan of the Progressive Death Metal band Opeth? They're probably one of my favourite bands right now, I saw them live in Toronto May 24th, going to see them again September.

So, thoughts on the new lineup/album? Can't stand the band for some reason? Don't want to listen because of the death growling?

I think Akerfeldt is one of the most talented vocalists of all time, simply because of how well he can switch from growling to singing clearly, and how amazing both styles are. Not to mention the fact he plays lead guitar as well...

Porcelain Heart is an instant classic, but sadly I haven't gotten to check out the full album yet.....

BTW Blackwater Park is my fav album of theirs.

Why? So you now have to "be metal" in order to enjoy a band's music?

They're great, Ghost Reveries is by far my favorite album.

I'm also jealous of the TC, I couldn't make it to the show on the 24th or any of their shows while they were in this area :(
