totally disagree its brought no benefit to the worldNSR34GTR
I bet you Cheney, Contractors, and the federal banks will disagree with you.
I favor it. I'm glad we helped out the Iraqi people.hokies1313
Good conclusion. I'll bet you haven't been to Iraq recently, because as an Iraqi, I believe every US soldier who has stepped foot in iraq is a murderer (with the exception of a very small minority).

America and "The World" are not one in the same, that was a very ignorant comment.
I agree with the basic principle of removing a genocidal dictator from power, yes. But I do not agree with the methods we've been using.SmashBrosLegend
Who's genocidal leader? You people never cease to amaze me. I lived in Iraq for 10 years, and trust me, I felt very safe walking the streets of Baghdad even at 2 am when saddam was in power. Now, people can't leave their house in the middle of the day for fear of getting killed by suicide bomb (which may I remind you was unheard of during the years of this great "genocidal leader" known as saddam).

Maybe the US government and the mutlinational corporations it beds with were just unsatisfied with what Saddam did as a leader...after they helped him come to power.

Tell that to the Kurds.ummm...The kurds attempted to overthrow saddam and form their own country, Im pretty sure the US army would do to the kurds what saddam did, if not worse.

They sought independence. A group of people seeking freedom from secular persecution does not deserve to be wiped off the face of the planet.[QUOTE="hokies1313"]I favor it. I'm glad we helped out the Iraqi people.ahmed_atiya2005

They're still better than Saddam.

They sought independence. A group of people seeking freedom from secular persecution does not deserve to be wiped off the face of the planet. They didn't seek freedom. Those who did, left their terrorist organizations that seek to topple the government (such as Peshmergah, which the Turkish government is fighting to this very day) and moved to Baghdad. These people were given full rights and were treated just as well as any Arab was treated under saddam's regime. What the Northern kurds sought was the establishment of "Kurdistan" which's something they nearly accomplished in Iran in 1986. If im not mistaken, "seperatists" are seen as criminals and enemies of the government even in the West.
I am against the war, and also our military occupation in present time.
There was no good, legit reason to begin this war, and since it has already begun, they will now never leave.

And you would know because you lived in iraq during Saddam's time? I have first hand experience of what its like to live under saddam's regime, and to this day, I long for the return of a leader as great as saddam was. And FYI, I am shia not sunni (not that theres a difference, but I wanna mention it before you people say "all sunnis love saddam, and shias hate him")

I agree with what you say, but I think that if Americans begin to realize the destruction of their own economy, they will welcome a change in the way the government is handelled, and hopefully elect a democrat.

Hopefully but not probably.
A war should be something that is needed, rather than wanted. This is why this war was a failure from the start. There was no basic need for occupying the middle east. They were planning to do so, and what they wanted occured.knowledge-funkI agree. A war should only be initiated for defense or for protection of our allies
