I'm pretty sure I'm optimistic, I just prefer to live life by laughing and being in the comforts of friends and family.
Why be sad is what I have to ask people.
It's not over until you're in the ground, afterall!
Life is a precious gift, and if you're intent on making yours miserable, then that's a sad thing.
EDIT: o hai

Well said good sir.
I respect that kind of talk.
:]
On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and every other Sunday I am optimistic.
Tuesdays, Thurdays, Saturdays and remaining Sundays I am pessimistic.
I suppose most people would consider me pessimistic but I tend to think it's just a more realistic outlook.
I generally enjoy life, but I always prepare for the worst. THis way if I'm right - I'm prepared. And if I'm wrong - then it's a good thing.
Personally I'm an Optimist because I seem to look at every situation and make light of it.
No matter how bad the situation is.
Why put yourself down all the time ?
Its just not healthy.
Pessimistic. There are nukes everywhere now. We WILL see a nuclear exchange, it's just a matter of who, when, and how contained it is.
This. Life is so much fun and I love it. :lol:I'm pretty sure I'm optimistic, I just prefer to live life by laughing and being in the comforts of friends and family.

If anyhing can go wrong, it will.
If the possbility exist of several things going wrong, the one that will go wrong is the one that do the most damage.
everything will go wrong at one time, and when you least expect it.
if nothing can go wrong, something will.
nothing is as easy as it looks.
everything takes longer than you think.
everything will go from bad to worse if left to themselves.
the universe is not indifferent to intelligence, is actually hostile to it.
if everything is going well for you, you obviously are doing something wrong.
I say my way of seeing the world is pretty much encoded in Murphy's extended law.

Wow...
Thats some negative talking.
I'm guessing you just sit in your room all day and ponder on every negative emotion there is.
You look at life in its darkest form, when actually its a pretty bright place with many beautiful things in it.
Do yourself a favor.
Go outside, look at the world for what it really is.
Intelligence is a beautiful thing, without it, your just another doll.
Another emotionless doll that only thrives on instinct.
That my friend is true sadness.
You create your own sadness with your own intelligence if you really think about it.
What is sadness ?
Sadness is what you want it to be, and you obviously make it many things.

My view of got "made up" by actually going "outside", i live life in a crappy rundown neighborhood filled violence and drugs, with crappy neighbors who would lie, cheat and steal, so they can make you leave, just so they can brag about it the next day, crappy schools and a menial job that pays minimum wage job. being home with my family, the people who actually loves me is the highlight of my day.

Don't take words so litterally.
When I say "Go outside, look at the world for what it really is."
I don't mean go out on your porch and tell me whats going on oustide your house.
I mean go experience the world.
The world is a beautiful place with many beautiful things.
Just because a couple people are trying to make the world a negative place, doesn't mean that the whole world is a dark place.
Guess what, there are people out there that are far off worse then you are right now.
And to take that for granted, is sad.
Please don't try to justify yourself with, I can't leave this place, or there is no escape from where I am.
Because guess what, if you put your mind to it, you can leave that horrible town you are in now and go somewhere so much nicer.

O I guess you missed the part where i wrote that i'm actually working AND going to school to actively get out of the situation that i'm at, and no sorry i'm not taking anything for granted the fact that there are people out there that have it worse is another part of why i see the world the way i do.Most of the time I'm quite pessimistic.
That's because I suck at life. I'm mostly an autodidact, I get all my knowledge from the Internet (especially Wikipedia) and from books.
However many times I am more optimistic depending on my mood and these I think are influenced by my brain chemistry. For example when I read a Wikipedia article on science or technology and I don't understand it, I'm feeling bad and when I'm beginning to understand it, I'm trying to feel more optimistic about finding a good job.
Life's a ***** and then you die.Brutal_ElitegsOr if you're particularly sadistic, you marry one. But I am definitely pessimistic - optimism is simply for people who haven't been screwed over enough yet.
