What do you use when your asking a question in shock? I like to use !?, just seems more logical. I actually get into debates with my gf from time to time if I make the mistake of sending her !? in a text message.

It depends. If it's a question, that you are animated about, it's ?!. Like, "What do you mean that baby isn't mine?!" If you're asking a question with an exclamation, which is more of a rhetorical question, it'd be !?. Like "He looks just like my best friend, you can't be serious!?" Not taken from personal experience..

if i really were to get hung up on the details, it would depend on whether i want to stress that im emphatic or asking a question. in practice, its a tiny spec of a detail and i dont bother.

Ive been around, im having errors getting into the lady gaga union, I really need to get back on Vista. Windows 7 runs terrible on my PC :(. Hardly anything loads!

You wouldn't happen to still be using that adblock extension for Chrome, would you? That thing caused me a hell of a lot of grief after the first couple days. Blocking essentially every image from loading. :P

Actually yeah im still using it, but it is working fine for me, IE8 is just as bad and I don't have any type of add blocker on that. I keep telling my friend to get me my Vista back but he keeps avoiding me. I think he may have lost it or something, if that's the case im taking him to pound town! Not litterly but I'll be pretty upset :P

I dunno, I like "!?". That seems to make more sense to me because if I were to be yelling it, I would be !!!! first and then at the end I would make it into a ?. Not the other way around.

Wouldn't it be more logical to do the opposite and put the question mark before the explanation mark? If you ask a question, then it is a question first and foremost, but then the exclamation mark is there to show you're enthusiasm.

The interrobang. I don't know. I use either "?!" or "!?", whichever one happens first. I don't really pay attention to which one I use. xD I know for writing, I can't use the interrobang since it's not really a grammar punctuation, unless it's for comics or manga. Though, I initially prefer the "?" and then the "!" above my head. 8)

Usually I would use ?! when I am asking a question in shock. If I am more shocked than curious, I would put !? so it is more like a rhetorical one.

I've always noticed using both an exclamation mark and a question mark together is more of an Americanism. In British English, only one is to be used, as depending on the context of the sentence, it should be obvious to tell if there is emotion attached to a question.
