What do you personally believe to be the truth regarding the origins of Humanity? Do you believe in evolution or creationism? Also, if you do believe in Evolution, which theory do you believe? The Out of Africa Theory or the Multiple Regions Hypothesis?

God created the heavens and the universe and we evolved. Adam and Eve is a metaphor for values just like many other stories in the bible

Homo sapiens are a species that evolved from a common ancestor with other primates.

I don't really care about the Africa/multiregional hypotheses, I know how it happened let anthropologists figure out where.

That's what I do. It's called Theistic Evolution. And we came out of Africa. Unless any evidence has surfaced in the last couple years that I'm not aware of.

I know where I come form... Ashtead in the U.K And I know where I am now... Florida :( Let us examine the evolution of the wiffle. -Born in Ashtead, UK the pre wiffle, commonly known as a snuff, thrived in its childhood environment. There was an abundance of food, juices and entertainment. -As the environment changed, education loomed on the horizon. The Wiffle had to once again evolve, into a form we know as ,Wiffleoctopus. In which a young wiffle had to multitake and do many household chores as well as homework. Wiffleoctopi are very advantageous in this sort of area. -Trouble on the horizon? With the Wiffle's source of food (parents) moving to these United States, the Wiffeocotopus was at risk. A new continent? Surely the Wiffle would have to adapt, or evolve to meet this new challenge. Say hello to the Wiffle Snuff! Able to communicate with colonials the Wiffle Snuff is able to live within colonial society, blending in as... one of them. Did you know? When a Wiffle feels frightened or threatened, it can squirt ink from a ballpoint pen to deter its attackers. -The current political, socio economic violent is quite harmful to Wiffle's natural habitat. Employment is now an issue, as is income. Luckily, parental units still provide the Wiffle Snuff with fresh fruits and vegetables. But the Wiffle will need to evolve once more if it is to survive in this harsh new recession environment. So... As you can see. I know where I came from.

Through 3.5 billion years of evolution, early human ancestors of the homo genus, homo habilis, popped up around 2.3 million years ago in Africa, though there are later evidence of homo genus existence in Europe and Asia and things found like tools and burn deposits showing the control of fire. Though modern man is believed to have evolved from homo rhodesiensis, which comes from Africa, homo neanderthalensis lived in Europe but became extinct and aren't linked to modern day homo sapiens, homo erectus lived throughout Eurasia and Africa, like homo neanderthalensis the homo erectus is also believed to have gone extinct without evolving into homo sapiens.

The thing is, Darwinists would have you believe that there is sufficient proof of man descending from fish, when there isn't.

I am not ready to throw creationism out the window just yet. There's probably more evidence for creationism than there is for evolution if you take a good look around.

we come from space dust. everything in this reality we're reborn into and the stretch of the galactic plain throughout the cosmos all come from the same "intelligent entity" that most people have labeled "god". Whether it was through genetic evolution or bio genetically engineered by people that look like us, i think matters not

Bullocks. Evolution makes much more sense than Crationism/ Intelligent Design. There are many aspects of Human nature which disprove the notion of an Intelligent designer.

There was a great battle in the heavens between angels and demons, battling over the throne of heaven. And in the end the angels lost, fell to earth, lost their wings and became man. Now God no longer speaks to us, as is evidenced by the lack of miracles. And the demons continue to rule the earth as is evidenced by its continual decaying.

I've just done a few subjects on anthropology and evolution, and without trying to spoil anything, nobody knows for sure. :P

Anyway, evolutionism makes the most sense to me by a long way, but as for competing theories, I'm not sure if we'll ever know which, if any, are true.
I do like the theory that our mental faculties developed as an evolutionary response to the Pleistocene era's rapid climate changes, though - even if that doesn't entirely explain why we're the only surviving species that seems to have benefitted this greatly from those crises.

From the Beginning of western culture the story of Genesis has been the fundamental myth of the West.

Now our technological and scientific times are so distant from our origins that the scientists' Big Bang theory and the truth of the creation myth are treated as two separate are irreconcilable things.

The trouble is that sooner or later all intelligent men and women want to know their origins and yearn for the unity of the original myth.

The scientific method is used every day in forensic science to determine whether an event in a crime scene was an accident or by design and intention. Mathematical probability is a scientific argument and is frequently used in determining many issues of scientific inquiry. The scientific method cannot be used to prove events which occurred outside of human observation. No one observed the origin of the universe by either chance or design, but scientific evidence via mathematical probability can be used to support either a chance or design origins for the universe.

MAN'S speculatations about his origins fall into two well-known categories - science's evolution theory, and the world's religious and mythical accounts.

Evolution theory, according to Darwin and his followers, describes man's animal development from the first micro-organism. No explanation is offered for his incomparable creative and artistic powers. According to the theory he is just a better kind of ape.

On the other hand, biblical and other religious traditions report some kind of divine or mystical creation in which man appeared physically fully formed and imaginatively inventive as we know him today.

The two approaches are irreconcilable - until the underlying truth connecting them is realised.

As the religious stories pre-dated scientific rationalism by many, many thousands of years they could not avoid presenting a strongly emotional view : man's evolution since that time has been broadly from an emotional to a rational being.

What is surprising today is that in spite of more than a century of science since Darwin, religious authorities continue to ignore the clamour in man's mind for a rational and intelligent explanation or religious phenomena in the light of evolution theory.

This omission, and the implicit inability of organised religion to understand the truth of it's own doctrines, probably accounts more than anything else for the decline in the West or religion's credibility and influence.

Modern rational man, who depends on material fact for his daily bread and his motor car, has outgrown the need for emotional explanations of the origins of things and will not accept that human bodies, bread, or cars are suddenly created without a physical cause. And why should he?

In a rational world such propositions are patently absurd. Yet intelligent and earnest men continue to commit themselves to the religious creation idea.

This can only mean a massive misunderstanding has occured somewhere along the line...

These two great opposing ideas - evolution theory & creation theory ------ actually represent the two sides of man, his mystifying dual nature: the sensory physical, and the vitally creative.

Without doubt man is an animal; and yet he is uniquely creative. How, and in what circumstances, did an animal become independently creative, numerically inventive, emotionaly resonant? And where is the evidence?
