Uploaded this frag movie as something to remember the original Crysis by: Crysis Montage: Rapid There was lag while I was recording gameplay but the frags are still good - hopefully I will be able to do another final montage which will contain all the best frags that I managed to get on video. For those of you who didn't know, in the original Crysis' multiplayer there is a load of armour (similar to Quake/Halo) so it takes loads of bullets to take someone down - two body shots with a sniper, or a load of bullets from a standard assault rifle. Gameplay revolves around dodging, hip-fire accuracy, recoil control and of course the usual FPS tactical awareness. On the huge maps there's weapon/vehicle purchase system that lets you buy equipment or weapons and build vehicles like tanks and helicopters and such. Crysis Wars is very similar, but has drastically reduced armour and recoil, making it way more casual-friendly. Crysis 2's multiplayer is not going to be similar in any way with Call of Duty style gameplay, small maps, 6 vs 6 limited team size instead of 20 vs 20, nanosuit speed/strength mode removed, no vehicles, no on-the-fly purchasing system, and many more changes - for better or for worse, it is going to be a completely different game to the original Crysis, not really a sequel. This is why I thought of making this, as there haven't been many videos made of the original since Crysis Wars came out. Hope you enjoy the video.
pretty cool montage, but at the beginning you said "mixed weapons" but you used only that silenced smg, except for a few kills with what looked like a rifle.

Exactly why I stayed right away from System Wars. I didn't think this was supposed to be in the General Game Discussion forum because it isn't directly discussing the game, but whatever, hopefully someone can move it there. ;)

Thanks for the feedback - technically it does count as being mixed, but I know what you mean. I kept adding frags in to the montage then realised too late after I had rendered it out that quite a large majority of them were with silenced SMG and I hadn't put in enough FY71, SCAR, or any other weapons. But overall it's varied enough so I just left it. If I get around to doing an outtakes montage it will be much more varied.
