So my friend downloaded lion for his macbook pro, and it is just riddled with glitches and stability problems like vista was. the new features are nifty, but the just eat up the CPU. kinda like the sidebar and aero in vista. it runs good on his more powerful machine, but on his low end pro, it just doesnt work well. so me as a mac user, im gonna stick with Snow Leopard (which i now believe is the XP of OS X) and wait until the next version of OS X.

opinions Off-Topicers?

So, it's an even crappier version of a crappy OS.

The first couple versions of OS X were also Apple's Vista- or, considering the timeframe, I guess they were Apple's ME.

I hadn't heard of performance problems, just the new features being useless.

A new version with a bunch of new & pointless knick-knacks. All for only $29.99+tax.

The media will gobble it up.

Not really hating, it's just nice to poke fun at Macs. Never knew anyone who enjoyed their Mac though. One guy I knew hated OS X so much he emulated Windows 7 on his Mac.

so ironic lmao. i see so many people who download docks for there windows and put there taskbars up top. seems like everyone wants what they dont have  i love windows 7 and os x personally though. my desktop is a win7 machine, and im using it right now actually. but my macbook is such a joy to use as well, and i think i prefer the multiotouch trackpad more than a mouse. things like four finger swipe for expose and whatnot just do wonders for multi-tasking functionality

I don't have any experience with Vista and am currently using the latest update of OS X Snow leopard. I had a feeling Lion had nothing new but a few knick knacks and the like, no way am I putting down $30 for that. :P I'm perfectly happy with the current OS X.

Its a Bloated mess, it makes Vista looks good. It barely runs on Core 2 Duo based systems. And the few new features it has are useless, or have been seen before in Linux and Windows. I honestly don't understand all the Hype and Praise OSX gets. Its not even that Secure either.

as am i. snow leopard is one of the most light, stable, and functional Operating system's I've ever used. Win 7 is just as good too IMO. Ubuntu works really good on my netbook too.
