Osama Bin Laden wants to "out do 9/11"

I was in the car this afternoon listening to 1010 wins when i heard something about al qaeda wanting to out do 9/11. Now im not big on politics or anything like that but after 9/11 and livign IN new york it's scary to hear about something like that again and now thinking that they wanna outdo it with something like a dirty bomb or a biological weapon it makes it even scarier.

I'm sure he would like to. Doesn't mean he will. The idea of terrorism is to inspire terror into people, which just with a couple of words he appears to have done successfully. Sure there will always be the threat of an attack on innocent people, but you can't let that rule your life.

Furthermore, just because he said 9/11 doesn't mean it would be in NYC. If anything something on a similar scale in a a similar manner would be near impossible with the security precautions now in place.

Also, I'm pretty sure a Dirty Bomb wouldn't work in a feasible sense.

id be more worried if he said he didnt want to outdo 9/11. this is really business as usual.

either way, he uses such upbeat words when he talks about terrorism. its like a party that we are all invited to.

Stoking US public opinion in favour of an attack on Iran would require a Shiite terrorist, whereas Osama Bin Laden is a Sunni, so I'm guessing the goal is just to bolster flagging support for NATO's operations in Afghanistan.
