Or somebody shoots a cat?The thing is, i don't want to stoop down to his level. I need to find out if there is any legal action i can take to stop this without having to go to a lawyer. Which i cannot afford. He is also, compared to me, physically overwhelming. So, his reaction to my schemes would be unpredictably violent.Beat him at his own game.

If he tries to do anything to you, make sure there are witnesses. If he does do something violent to you when nobody is around, you can always call 9-11. Same thing kind of happend to me. I purchased porn with my parents credit card for a friend because he was using threats to hurt me. He has done stuff like that before. So when my parents saw the bill its was a load of money. They were mad at me, and I told them the whole truth. They were able to make sure he did nothing to me.Beat him at his own game.

Don't know how to help you friend. The lawyer would not be worth it, and I'm sure you don't want a physical conflict. People can be a-holes...unfortunately the internet can be used to support this fact.

Probably a good idea, only problem is that i am 19, and i seriously need to find a way to stop this. At one point i was seriously planning on finding the tapes (they are old) and destroying them. I already asked him nicely the first time. I am very nice to this kid and he is aware that it causes severe anxiety. I simply do not understand.Beat him at his own game.

I may have seen worse
[/QUOTE They are pretty bad. They are tapes showing me being someone who i wasn't. And he thinks its funny, its not. At all.If you're 19 and these videos are of you when you were underage and nidity is onvolved you better believe you can press charges and get him arrested.
If you're that freaked out, its like going to the doctors office as a kid. You're in the waiting room knowing you're going to get a shot. You feel all nervous and you wanna just run away. You get in there..and its nothing.CrazyLaserI know i know, its just really nerve racking, and its not just the video thing, if things don't go his way he will resort to violent measures. Its ridiculous.
No nudity is involved. If you're 19 and these videos are of you when you were underage and nidity is onvolved you better believe you can press charges and get him arrested.
Tell him you didn't sign a release and you have the right to turn him in.whoknows27I did, said he would do it anyway... Go for this. You can probably sue him and easily win if he releases those videos. Definitely let him know he is an absolute dick and you hate him then black mail him.
No nudity is involved. Then I don't think there is anything you can do as long as he didn't give your personal info away.If you're 19 and these videos are of you when you were underage and nidity is onvolved you better believe you can press charges and get him arrested.

Don't object to anything he does. Let him do what he wants. I can tell you when and if he shows the the vid or picture or whatever, be totally cool with it. Laugh with him. It's all good. :)CrazyLaserNo, i cant, because thats what i always do. I hide behind a laugh. Its bulls***. Something needs to be done.

Hello OT, just visiting to ask for some advice on a rather unsettling situation. Well i have a good friend who I've known for quite a while( About 6 years ) who apart from being obnoxious, annoying, aggressive, violent, emotionally volatile and showy, is a pretty alright friend. But recently I've noticed another unfavorable trait to add to my list of absurdities to describe him with. He has an insatiable urge to repeatedly embarrass people. This unfortunately annoying trait has reared its ugly head in the form of him wanting to release certain embarrassing videos of myself and others doing embarrassing things. Now, they are' not terribly embarrassing, but i would not rather have them released. Now, I am here to ask whether or not there is any legal action i can take to try and prevent him from attempting the aforementioned act, such as refusing to allow him to use my image without my permission. Is there any way to stop him, need advice, at this point i am seriously considering severing all communication with him and pretty much ending the friendship, because he seriously doesn't get it. Thank you.whoknows27
I know exactly the type. This advice is from personal experience, **** him, friends like that aren't worth the trouble. You try to be nice, they **** you. You try to be a d*** back, they still **** you. You try to ignore them, and they still somehow manage to find a way to **** you. And believe me, it only gets worse as time goes on. My advice, don't do anything drastic, it'll just antagonize him. Just slowly wean yourself away from him, gradually minimize contact, and build a closer group of more reliable friends that also realizes what an ass he is. Don't be an outirght d*** to him or try to alienate him, like I said that'll just antagonize him, but there are many different types of friends. There are everyday friends and there are also, "hey, haven't seen you in a while, how's life?" friends.
Seconded. TC, remind yourself that this guy is not your friend. He thinks of you as a loser to make fun of, and to use to make himself feel better. He most likely doesn't care about you at all and when you leave he will move on to find someone else to torment. Just remember, whatever you start with this guy, whatever it is, make sure you finish it. And then find real friends. You know, the type that would help you out against this guy if he ever shows up in your life again. ;)I know exactly the type. You said you were 19, assuming your friend is also 19 on top of the six years you have known him, im sure you have some embarrassing stories about him. I know you said that you don't want to fall to his level, but sometimes the best time to teach people a lesson is to beat them at their own game.
I totally understand your position on taking the higher road, i have an uncle who is kinda socially awkward and doesn't know how to relate to people in general and always has to have his way. Anyways whenever i'm having a conversation with him, it's like a constant struggle to not punch him in the face or curse him out for some of the dumb stuff he says in order to prove "HIS POINT" or make him look superior. Have you thought that maybe your friend is just doing that to you because he knows that you will react in the way that you do?
In knowing that my uncle will be a prick and try and to look or feel superior/get attention, you adapt and don't give him what he wants. Ex: Your friend knows that you will over-react or act in the way you do and therefore knows that he can extort you/ embarrass/ just be a prick in general. So just ignore him, don't give him want he wants, if he talks to you in msn/facebook whatever, just ignore him. The one thing that type of person is looking for is attention, and by not giving it to him, he will realize that he can't fu ck with you as long as you don't show you care or react in the way that they are expecting.
Edit: Sorry i wasn;t very clear, in summary: your friend likes attention, don't give it to him. Just cut him off until he stops acting like a douchebag Hope that helps.
