The USDA approved cooking temperature of Medium Rare. That is when you get the most flavor and at the same time have thoroughly cooked the meat all the way through.

Do you ever order this at restaurants? Lol no, I get medium-rare. That's the best anyway imo even though I voted for rare in the poll I was gonna say that must be awkward. A relative of mine did and everyone gawked and voiced their...distaste until he had it cooked a bit.

Every time I hear someone order a well-done steak at a restaurant I laugh a little on the inside. I always used to get my steaks well-done I used to think it meant that my steak was being prepared in the best way possible and cooked with the best spices and such.

I get mine in the medium-medium rare range don't like the texture of rare, but it usually has the best taste and getting your steak medium well or well done is like spitting on the cow's grave /meat expert
