Regardless, we all hate paying Car Insurance, but when your Car get's into a wreck, it sure as hell comes in handy and since it's the Law, Car Insurance is a must! But I really can't complain though, Insurance does so much for me! Thanks insurance for being the mandatory piece of information in order to legally drive. Haven't even missed a payment.

$350 for two vehicles for 6 months. One with only liability, and one with full coverage with SafeAuto Car Insurance.

Around £500-600 per year when renewal time they double the price so leave that insurer and get a new one each year.

@Sam3231: Car insurance is complete fucking bullshit.

Every type of insurance is bullshit. Nothing more than a legal scam.

It was moderated! Which leads me to believe the mods are in fact... car insurance agents! I knew it!

$1300 CDN a year for full coverage for my car with me as the sole driver. That's the lowest I could find, some big name insurers wanted as much as $1700.

Around £700. Initial car insurance renewal was nearly £1100. I always change car insurance providers every year. Would be bonkers accepting an astronomical renewal price.

I read something insane like 60% of people in Toronto straight up just don’t pay insurance.

Next time I get a car, I would do the same lol.

I pay a lot, around 2k a year. I'm in the most expensive insurance bracket by my regional standards since I've been driving less than 10 years, drive to work every day more than 15km each way, and live in a city. never been in an accident and never filed a claim.

I believe this summer I'll have my 10 years of driving experience and it should get a bit cheaper.

@Sam3231: Was it really? That's hilarious if true, cause it's been directly quoted.

Anyway I only pay a couple hundred (CAD) a year. I don't even know what company I'm with. The wife makes the payment from our joint account. I've been in 2 fender benders as well. I would have thought that it would make the payments go up but no.

I'm just about to renew mine. Can have me and my girlfriend both fully comp on my VW Golf for around £350 for the year. Her car is a little more expensive but just because she's the named driver on it and four years younger than me. My renewal came in from my current insurer a couple days ago and they wanted £750. Jog on!

Has anyone done multi-car in the UK? I know Aviva and Admiral do it - does anyone recommend?

No, I said "monthly". Your quote was $350 for six months. My equivalent period costs me over $1,600.

Too much, it seems. Granted my carrier has great service, so I guess it's you get what you pay for.

Further to my post yesterday, I have got a quote for both cars for me and my girlfriend for £732 per annum. This takes a good third off what we already pay individually. Winner winner, chicken dinner!

I'm from Switzerland. My insurance only covers damages I do to others and only damage to my car I didn't do myself. So a stone flying against my window is covered, but me crashing into a wall is not. Well technically the repair costs of the wall are :P I pay around 450 bucks a year for my car.
