So, I am a big fan of netbooks, so don't list any full-size laptops.

I have an eMachine em250, and I have to share it with my little brother.

I have a history of letting people use my stuff, and after I let them use it, there is some kind of problem.

I let my cousins use my playstation without me around. Next time I boot it up, I get the disc-read error on every game.

So the other week I let my younger brother play with my laptop while I take a shower.

When I go use it again, I plug in my headphones to watch Soul Eater on Hulu.

I notice that the sound it messed up, and I need to twist the headphone jack in the right position to get the proper sound.

After that, my netbook is no longer as awesome as it used to be.

Seeing that in the future I'm gonna have to let my brother use it again, I figure I will just buy a new one, and give the old one to him.

SO IN SHORT:

Recommend me a netbook.

I have already looked at the HP Mini's, the Eee PC, Aspire One, and the Lenovo S10 series.

I would like the netbook to have Windows XP, instead of Windows 7 Starter (becuz Windows 7 Starter is the worst operating system ever)

I am looking at the price range of 250-350 dollars

I bought a Compaq (HP) mini and it had XP on it. I think it was the 110. I haven't had a problem with it.

I bought an asus 1201n dual core with ion this past spring.. its nice, I've been using mostly as an HTPC. But if you're willing to wait until early 2011 I would check into the AMD Fusion netbooks. 9w TDP O_o

You should wait 2 weeks and get the archos 10in media tablet. It has a stand and a usb port so you can use external keyboard and mouse. Plus it's just incredibly awesome. It doesn't run windows but google android but that doesn't make it any less awesome.

My school provides free Lenovo S10E to all people in the year and I find it very good. Its very strong and survives concrete drops and is very durable. The keyboard is relatively comfortable and overall go with it. Its cheap and very good for a netbook.

I'm gonna go with this, I found it on Buy.com for about 300 bucks. You're Winner!
