Teachers that act inappropriately to students. I'm not talking relationship, I'm not even talking groping. Nor am I talking about blackmailing with grades.

I'm talking about those teachers that drop pencils to look up skirts, lean a bit further over the table to deliberately see down a girl's shirt, brush past a kid just to make contact.

How much is far enough and when should the teacher get fired? first complaint? third complaint? when they actually molest somebody?

(thread was made not because I was molested or anything, but I've had one of these teachers and nobody will fire him)

It's speculation until the student victimized files an official complaint with local authorities.

Isn't that sexual harassment? I'd think that if there were multiple complaints against a teacher for something such as this that they'd be fired.

Anyways, I don't think it's appropriate at all for a teacher to behave in ways such as those you've described. Their job is to teach, not check out their pupils.

If they get caught, they should be thrown out on their ass. For one, they are children, two, they are in a position of trust and someone can easily be taken advantage of that. A teacher may start by looking up skirts or down shirts but that could easily lead to much worse things. If I found that out from my daughter, I'd be at that school in a matter of seconds.

they´re teachers, but they´re still humans nonetheless. I say it depends on the rate of their inappropriate behaviour. If its something that resurfaces on a daily basis, i´d say she/he should get a formal warning, since they obviously cannot control their own conduct infront of pupils.

But if it´s like once a week or month, i see no problem with it, altho i will say it is very circumstantial (the age of the pupil, how exactly the teacher is acting inappropriate, what signals the pupil has been giving etc.)

I think they can be attracted, but shouldn't do anything to satisfy that attraction.

Out of all the teachers I've ever met, none have ever done or attempted what you suggested. But if I was to see a teacher doing that I would yell out "what the **** are you doing?!"

You must attend Hillbilly High...any teacher in the "real world" would not dare act so unprofessionally.

Actually, I don't. It's not private school or anything, but we have working taps and textbooks from this decade. Teachers in canada are like the cops in the us, theyre all friends and nobody will rat on anybody, so thats why a teacher like this hasn't been fired yet.

I had a teacher exactly like that in middle school. As far as I know, he's still there. He never bothered me because I'm a guy but it was painfully obvious he did stuff like that and I've heard several girls talk about what a perv he was.

edit: I forgot to say what I thought about it. They should be fired, after substantial proof has been shown. And now that I think about it another teacher of mine did get fired for it. Man, I had a screwed up school.
