What bands/singers/individual songs to you have as guilty pleasures...the stuff you generally dont tell others that you enjoy?

I'll start with this song, Hoot.....it's stuck in my head and I'm rather enjoying it 8)

Well I don't care what people think of my music taste but I guess some can be some female Pop singers,

Uh... none, really. I only listen to what I like and don't feel embarrassed to admit that I like a particular band.

i dont really have a guilty pleasure. i let my music play no matter who comes on and no matter who is with me. if they dont like my music they can f*** off.

but for the sake of answering the OP, the singer that people would least expect to hear from come from my music player would be Katy Perry.

I'm not really afraid to tell people, but I guess my love of ABBA and Enya could be considered a guilty pleasure. 8)

Daughtry, Nickelback and Hedley. Yeah, I know, that's like the trifecta of terrible music, but I can't help but enjoy some of their songs.

I don't usually have one of these but apparently I have two. Mainly because I usually spoke negatively of the artists in the past. Both songs weren't intentionally found. Animal by Kesha. I was playing DDR and that was the next song on the playlist and I thought it was going to be about being a party animal... it wasn't. Actually, not sure why it is even named Animal. Super Bass by Nicki Minaj. When I heard this song for the first time, I was with someone cruising around in her car and she stopped to talk to some guy. I was like  He was nice and all but he had a girlfriend so.. yeah I do ask them how was Super Bass and if he still had a girlfriend. :P

underOATH... all the way up until "Define The Great Line." Everything after that album blows. But yeah, still a guilty pleasure.

I do not try to hide it but out of respect for my roommates I tend to have my headphones in when I listen to Flogging Molly, other similar Irish music, and various types of folk music.

Not really a guilty pleasure but I probably listen to covers of video game songs just as much as I listen to more typical bands. Most of it's actually pretty excellent.

If you have roommates who can't appreciate Flogging Molly then it's time to get new rommates.

While true, they are students like myself and need at the least some quiet moments available for study. Besides, they hear enough from me with my mandolin playing. :P

Unless you play that part from Losing My Religion all day, your rommates need to appreciate the mandolin more.

In fact, try finding a way to play Flogging Molly songs on a mandolin.

Oh I very much do plan to. I haven't been playing the mandolin (or any instruments for that matter) for very long so it'll be a while before I'm able to play at the speed of their songs. :P

I just wouldn't want to play them loudly on the stereo at home :D

Also, bands like that do tend to get looked down upon by a large section of society.

People probably wouldn't associate my personality with the ideas in their music, many of which I don't agree or sympathise with, but I listen to some artists like that because I am always open to new ideas, musical or otherwise.

While I like a lot of random things I don't feel guilty for admitting them usually. Someone wants to judge me on it I guess it's their problem and not mine.

Currently am liking a song from one of last year's UK X Factor contestants which is rather sad but regarding this track my subs don't care:

Pornogrindcore / Brutal Deathgrind / Goregrind, stuff like that.
Torsof**k, Rompeprop, Vomit Erection, Last Days of Humanity, Carnal Diafragma, Cock and Ball Torture, Cemetery Rapist, Human Pesticide, Fecalized Rectal Sperm Spewage, Orchidectomy, Chainsaw Dissection, Cranial Osteotomy, Medic Vomiting Pus, Anal Blast, Homicidal Psychotic Dismemberment, Spermswamp, AxCx, Gut, to name a few.
I don't get the same thing with brutal death metal bands; they give me general pleasure, not guilty.

I also admit I like me some deathcore...like...Rings of Saturn...Annotations of an Autopsy...etc...so there .

A lot of the fanmade music inspired by My little pony: friendship is magic. Vocaloid music made by fans, most of the stuff with Megurine Luka is pretty awesome. A lot of anime music from shows I've seen is fabulous. Also, game soundtracks and music inspired by games. So awesome.

Pretty much any rapper besides Eminem and Kid Cudi. According to my friends, I'm the "whitest" person ever and my love of metal is well-known to them, so rap really doesn't fit my personality.
