You gamers ever have this out of body experience where you can see yourself from the corner of the room and you were screaming loud but in the real world you were not even barely moving your mouth. I used to get these out of body experiences all the time and often wondered why ? I don't have them any more but thought i'd see if it's normal ? Or does anyone know why it was happening ?

There was this time at a Halo party when I was extremely focused. Almost like I didn't know that I existed. I was fighting for life. Then I died. My friend yelled "BOOM!!! Headshot *****." I re-spawned a few seconds later, but I swear that headshot gave me a headache.

That used to happen to me when I was younger, felt like my spirit was rising up and suddenly fell back down onto my sleeping figure. Some call it Astral Projection and some even practice it, but I think its just a dream or some trick of the mind but I'm no expert in this subject.

Yes, I use too. It's called sleep paralysis and usally happens between the time you fall asleep and are still awake. Usually happens during puberty due to body changes. I rarely get these kind of dreams anymore, it use to freak me out but a quick Our Father prayer use to get me out of them and awake.

Strangely praying never came to my mind, good thinking.

I had an out of body experience once when I took some shrooms. My body was in the corner of the room and I could look down and see the top of my own head.

sometimes I wake up when I'm sleeping and I know my eyes are closed because I feel that they are shut. Yet I can see everything in the room and feel like I am actually hovering about a foot over my body. Usually by the time I realize what is happening I feel a 'snap' and then I'm "back in body".

It would be cool to learn to astral project at will, but so far it has only happened to me by accident. guess I need to hone my x powers. ;)

Actually... sometimes if I get up too fast I get extremely light headed and go blind and deaf for 5 to 10 seconds... does that count?

I was just being stupid. :P But yeah... I usually have to sit down and think about what just happened and how I got where I am after it happens.

I have had two Out of Body experiences that I can remember (theories suggest we do it a lot in our sleep), and I've tried to meditate into one once. During the ones I could remember, it was a very freeing feeling. I could literally go anywhere and be anywhere with the power of thought. I've only ever done it by accident though. It takes years of deep meditation for people to be able to do it at will. Tibetan Monks have learned a lot of ways of achieving that and many other seemingly impossible things.

It's nothing more than a vividly intense state of dreaming. The only reason you are able to see your self from "out of your body" is because the place you sleep is easy for your mind to remember considering you sleep there almost every day and I'm sure you have seen yourself in the mirror millions of times.

That's certainly a possibility, but in both "dream" states I found myself in, I was able to not only see myself from outside my body, but also to leave the room and the house I was in. It was the most surreal experience of my life.

Well, you are probably familiar with your whole house and the area surrounding it as well. I had an out of body experience this morning when I woke up and then went back to sleep, though I was only in my room. I am very familiar with what it is.

I've never felt anything like that unless you count the falling sensation you get sometimes when you are asleep.

Never gaming but once while playing rugby. It lasted like 10 seconds. I got off the floor and moved back into position but I wasn't controlling myself!

I've never had that happen myself but my mom says that has happened to her before. I wish I could experience it though. Really weird whatever it is.

True story: I was in my bathroom just getting out when a board from the ceiling fell down and was coming right for my head. I closed my eyes to brace for the impact, and when I opened my eyes, I was outside my bathroom. I turned around and saw the board had about 10 nails in it and the nail side hit the floor. Idk if this is an out of body experience, but it was nuts.

i think so

I've been on pain meds for a few months now and one time, i think i took to many within a days course because next thing you know, i take my evening dosage, and everything when haywire after about 20 mins of taking this Norco pain pill. Heat flash came up on me, so i start tio walk it off, i got hotter, i start running cold water on every faucet in my apt. Even more heat, so i take all my clothes off in the bathroom, but then i got very disoriented and attempted to get out of bathroom andlay myself down in the hallways before i fell down face first while unconcious and create more damage to my face(i passed out from high blood earlier this year and messed up my grill, BAD, so i had this in mind).

I only remember getting as far as getting on all fours to lay down, when next you know,....it appeared to me that i was seeing myself from on the ceiling of my hallway coming out of my bathroom, laying on the floor naked.

what seemed like an eternity passed and i came back to conciousness, but ever since then 3 months ago, i've been trying to figure out if that's what it was, an out of body experience, or something the Norcos produced.

Just three advices: Do not go through doors not mirrors. Do not touch the fire, unless it's hot. And do not, i repeat, do not answer to your father/mother/loved one. Neither call them.

I doubt norcos would cause anything like that. I've taken enough norcos in one day to probably bring on any kind of experience that they are capable and all I got was hella loaded. Trippy experience though..

Well you see, the heat flashes occurr by themselves every now and then, or when i get super mad at my lady and is how i screwed up my face before from being blacked-out as i was falling. So i dont know if it was just another re-occurrence that happened asi took the meds, or if maybe the meds helped induce it, cause i notice they do get me hot as it states on the warning label.

ah well...
