Anyone else see this movie? If so, what were your thoughts on it?

I personally thought it was amazing. It was sort of disturbing, but a VERY well done movie. I liked how it was sort of like Alice In Wonderland combined with a war movie and a horror movie. :)

I'll agree with you there. I really wanted to see more of the faun (or whatever he's called). He was pretty badass

I thought it was pretty good, but it wasn't a movie I particularly wanted to watch again or anything. It's interesting to me that some of the more nutbar Christians were saying that the movie promotes Satanism or something and then the director of it went on to do...Hellboy 2.

No it wasn't. As usual, conservative christians see something scary and immediately start whining and calling it satanic, they don't even know what satanism is...

While the author of this page might actually have a few valid points in there somewhere, he's clearly a few eggs short of a dozen.

Ahhh, yeah, I know what you mean. I know a few extremeists like that. They piss me off. I mean, I'm a christian, but I don't freak out at every little thing like so many do. It probably had something to do with that whole "baby eating monster" scene lol

Great film. Another one worth mentioning that is kinda similar in theme is Tideland. Though tideland got pretty crap reviews from critics who dont know what they are talking about.

I thought it was great, it would have been even better if there was English dub, although Pan's voice proved to me that Spanish can actually be a pretty cool language. I really like the guy that played the Pale Man and Pan too, Doug Jones. He also played AbeSapian in Hellboy and Hellboy 2. Aswell as being in Hocus Pocus.

A bit too bloody for my liking (the bottle scene? Ack.), but it was a very nice movie. The ending was. . . . . depressing, though.:(

Great movie, the ending was the both the worst and best part of the entire film. Everybody have a different interpretation of it.

I loves it! It truly captures the feel of the movies of old. A fairy tale for grown ups it calls itself. Totally my thing. Reminded me of a film I grew up on shown below:

I want more stuff like that. Chronicles of Narnia is crap. I want to burn all the books of Narnia along with it's dvds like Nazi's on Jewish literature.

Pan's Labyrinth is an excellent film...but if any Conservative Christian group saw this as satantic, then they merely based it on the poster art. The movie is about a child's attempt to deal with the horrors of war by creating an imaginary world where she's important and piecing the world together despite all its' horror and dangers. There is NO allusion to satanism in the film - sad that was misconstrued by people who clearly never saw the film.

I didn't think it was scary, but it was a great movie. There was something powerful about the scene where the Captain finds the madrake (Mandragora? I don't know.). Although, I think it would've been better if it focused entirely on the girl. In my opinion, the movie should've just established the setting, then focused on the main character.
