Paparazzi - right or wrong?

What is your opinion of the Paparazzi? Do you think what they do is immoral? I don't like them but everyone in fuels their trade, by buying them magazines etc

I just think it's pathetic how a lot of people are too involved with the lives of celebrities and that they can't leave them alone to their own personal business. I really have to give credit to the celebrities that can't go anywhere without having their pictures taken constantly and being able to put up with it.

They seem like very annoying people.

I am not sure what I dislike the most, the paparazzi or the millions of people who buys the mags for those pictures.

I am one of those people who really value privacy, not just my own, but other peoples aswell.

I do not care about, nor want to know what famous people are doing and what beach they went to, and if I were them I would loathe some jackhat, to run after me taking pictures at my time off, to spend with those I care about.

I truely think it is wrong, But as the OP stated, the paparazzi exists because there is insanely good money in what they do, the people who should really be shamed are the people running out the door to buy those mags, whenever a juicy tidbit about some celeb hits the frontpages.

Honestly, Celebs are people too, in an ideal world, when thier workday is over they should be able to go home, and enjoy a peaceful life with friends and family without people stalking them with cameras.

They are as annoying as the people who pay money to read gossips about celebrities, therefore allowing paparazzi to even exist.

Parasites. I've heard too many stories of them doing what would more than pass for assault in courtrooms. I'm surprised we don't hear more stories of paparazzi getting worked over by someone that they provoked too many times in an attempt to get a money shot.

If I was a celebrity i'd spend most of my time in court due to constantly assulting the paparazzi.

i don't necessarily thing it's "wrong" to try and get pictures of them that don't show them in good light, but i don't think it's good either.

If I was a celebrity i'd spend most of my time in court due to constantly assulting the paparazzi.

If your talking about the lady gaga song, I love it. If your talking about the stalking photographers then no.

I would not say their job is wrong

but they are performing their job incorrectly imo. A lot of them harass people; celebrities made the choice to be in the public eye, that is one thing, but calling that celebrity a bad name (or worse) so you can get a picture of them giving you the finger is wrong

Paparazzi are pretty much like parasites, feeding off of all the little things celebrities do. Plus, I think that publications like TMZ and Enquirer are just garbage. It just blows my mind how much people are obsessed with celebrities and every little facet of their lives.

I don't have a problem with the paparazzi; they are just a symptom of the real disease, which is the fact that "celebrities" exist in the first place and that people think what they or don't do is somehow relevant enough to be worth reporting...

Seriously, who gives a damn what Brad Pitt or Lady Gaga had for breakfast this morning? That's like having a bunch of annoying idiots (the paparazzi) following a world renowned architect or lawyer around, taking pictures and reporting every little thing they do, and people ACTUALLY BUYING IT.

The only reason they exist, is because people will pay so much for these pictures. It sure sucks for the celebrities, but oh well.

honestly, I think as fascination with celebrities increases, happiness with one's own life decreases

not trying to generalize, it is just something I have noticed.

I only think it is acceptable at award shows like on the red carpet at the grammy's and other such events. But I think its wrong when they follow the Celebrity around when they are just doing normal daily things that any other person would be doing.

While I think celebrities should expect that kind of attention, some of the paparazzi can be very pushy and rude. I actually had an idea to follow around paparazzi with some friends and take pictures of them while they are trying to follow someone else. Problem is I think that could be a stupid idea.
