"Paramount and DreamWorks Animation together will receive about $150 million in financial incentives for their commitment to HD DVD, according to two Viacom executives with knowledge of the deal but who asked not to be identified."

Hell, I'd support itfor $150M too.

I just read somewhere that Michael Bay is really upset over Paramount going HD-DVD exclusive. Both he and Spielberg prefer Blu-Ray and he said he doesn't want to direct Transformers 2 now.

His blog did not say that he prefers bluray. He said he was upset that due to this deal a portion of his audience won't be able to watch his movie in HD because they choose Bluray over HD-DVD.

Excellent. Maybe he'll get pissed enough to quit making movies altogether, and we won't have to be bombarded with his horrible films anymore.
