After Newtown, the PTC is upset that the show "Sons of Anarchy" depicted a school shooting in which a Catholic boy walks in a classroom with a semi-automatic assault rifle and shoots his classmates, while the screams of children echo. Sons of Anarchy is a television show.  It thrives on ratings.  Depicting something for the sole reason of eliciting a response from people, positive or negative, will drive up it's ratings.  Gun ownership and school shootings are a hot topic right now in the US.  SOA will benefit from the publicity and garner higher ratings, even if it is shocking for some people to watch.

School shootings happen, no need to hide from that fact in an adult-themed television drama.
