Record and Tape Traders is closing, which is very sad, and theyre having 30%-50% off clearance. I got into Pavement this year and bought their first 3 albums for about $35. I couldnt pass it up. It seems I am the only one in my school/town that likes them/heard of them but I'm kind of happy that I have a little gem of a band for my own to listen to. Any Pavement fans in OT?

The first part was kind of bloggish as that store is local but any time a record store closes its pretty sad news.

Pavement is pretty cool. Imagine life without roads, that would suck.

"Oh my god, oh your god, oh his god, oh her god". Great song. My personal favorite is a toss up between Loretta's Scars and Rattled By The Rush.

Yeah a shame, local record stores have a great atmosphere. but I usually only go to mine to get gig tickets. Its a shame I cant afford to buy CD's from them... there just too damn expensive, the Internet is so much cheaper and I'm a hard up student :(

They're pretty solid, but it's hard to get their music where I live. There's a bunch of reissues that cost upwards of $35, that's it. I have Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain in physical copy, and the rest on grooveshark to listen to. :P They're good. A bit overrated, but still very good.

I've listened to them. One of my favorite bands (Bomb The Music Industry!) covered Gold Soundz, so I had to check out the original.

I like them, they're okay. Not one of my favorite bands. Some of their songs are quite boring, though.

Pavement is one of my favorite bands of all time. I want to go see their reunion show in Central Park next year, but I have no idea how I will be able to afford it.
