Hey!

I have recently gotten a refund for an online purchase, and they have added the credits to my PayPal account. Now, when I try to login to get access to the money, I get this message:

_______

Security Measures

We are currently performing regular maintenance of our security measures. Your account has been randomly selected for this maintenance, and you will now be taken through a series of identity verification pages.

Protecting the security of your PayPal account is our primary concern, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Credit Card Information:

Credit Card: *Here's a dropdown menu*

Full Card Number:

_______
Now, I have googled this to find out if its a fraud etc. but it is indeed a security check and all that, but I have one problem:

The card they're asking for, is one I don't have anymore.

How on earth will I get access to my account then? I have tried going into the support section, but that requires me to login and all that dumb ****, so I am just wondering, what on earth shall I do?Any ideas?

Thanks to anyone in advance!

Umm no;

1. I googled it, found mixed responses, but most of them say its a clear message and security measure from PayPal.

2. I use Google Chrome, and it identifies the website as legit.

3. The whole url IS https://www.paypal.com/dk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd= ... etc. = IT IS PAYPAL.COM - No subdomain or anything, its clear out paypal.

probably the quickest and safest way to get it sorted would be to ring PayPal and ask them.

I don't have time to go back and forth about how fishy "PayPal" asking for your FULL credit card number to verify your account seems, so I'm just going to give you this... PayPal Customer Service: 1-402-935-2050 (a U.S. telephone number) 4:00 AM PST to 10:00 PM Pacific Time Monday through Friday 6:00 AM PST to 8:00 PM Pacific Time Saturday and Sunday Please note that hours of operation may vary on holidays

The only way to be completely sure is not to click a link, instead hand-type the URL https://www.paypal.com/ then log-on to your account.

I've had a top PayPal account for years, and they tell you to always hand-type the URL into your Address Bar.
