Maybe if it's against her will. But I assumed it wasn't and voted no.

PDA isn't sexual harrasement, schools just don't like it when people go around hugging or kissing. Besides, people that do get made fun of.

the rule is for the comfort of other students and to teach you how to act in public. you dont see people at work making out with each other in the middle of a bunch of coworkers, do you? complain when you start paying bills.

The key questions are: 1) Was there reach around action? and 2) Was there movement towards the posterior with the intent to grab?

If it's actual affection, then it's fine.

My school says it's okay to do the making of the out, as long as it's not prolonged or anything.

Was there a clear rule that it was not allowed?
Did they present this rule properly?
Was it againsed her will?
If you answered no to all of these, you shouldnt have gotten a detention

It isn't sexual harrasment, it is a violation of human rights. If a couple (whether mature or not) wishes to hug or kiss in public, they have every right to. As long as it stays tasteful and appropriate, then even teenagers should have every right to do so. It is a period of growth, meant to be encouraged, not disparaged.

I think it's pretty stupid. Teens should be held to the laws of society no more no less. If two kids want to make out in between classes they've got every right to do that. If their late they suffer the penalty from that, if they do lewd acts then they suffer the same fate they would in public. Now if you're in the middle of class and the teacher has established that PDA is not allowed durring class time I can understand, but a general schoolwide no PDA ban is pretty irrational.

You're school is run by Puritans. I suggest you get out of their as soon as possible before they try and brainwash you with abstinance and the Bible.

It would depend upon the circumstances under which the incident occurred, and your school or school districts policy regarding PDAs.

ive been "in trouble" for pda b4, so i shouldnt rly be saying the following. but i will anyway, despite hypocrisy:

but yea, i think its a bit annoying to walk around and see 2 people seriously sucking some face. i dont rly view hugs as pda though. and neither does my school. if my school did, id probably have detention on a daily basis
