Americans don't have to worry about this, if it's a form of military spending that the U.S. military actually needs or wants then there's no way in hell it's getting past Congressional Republicans.

On the other hand I would say that Israel does benefit quite a bit from the peace with Egypt, because that treaty basically ended the Arab-Israeli wars. Egypt was for quite some time the most powerful Arab country (I think in the 1980s Iraq actually became the most powerful Arab country), so taking Egypt out of the equation pretty much deterred the other Arab countries from attacking Israel.

The money would be better spent building homes/giving food to people in need that live in the US, rather than more bombs/missiles.Rattlesnake_8
