Well, it isn't normal to go on crying in public for sake of crying. If it is something like a funeral, then yeah crying is understandable.
A man who is not afraid to cry is probably not afraid of other things. Though it really depends on the individual's reason to why they are crying. If they are crying over something really spoiled and not important then they might need some changes.
Well, yes. It's a sign a person is emotionally distraught. It lessons your mental state and reasoning. I would guess we have some sort of inherent natural response. Animals like cats deliberately take advantage of it by creating a sound similar to a child in distress.
I don't remember the last time I cried.
I always felt weird when I went to funerals and I was the only one not sobbing. I think there's something wrong with me.
Its all circumstantial
You stub your toe and cry - Be a little worried
Mate dies and you don't cry - Also be a little worried
Really I kind of feel like it takes some balls for a man to cry in american society, but then again if a guy just all of the sudden cries for no reason, or for little reason(broke my nail) than I would think what a p****.
If you watch Old Yeller and you don't cry I'm going to think there is something wrong with you, and I will avoid you because your a heartless pri**.
Depends on the situation.
If you don't cry when one of your immediate family dies, you're not strong, you're a sociopath.
No. Real men do cry and show emotion, that's just human instinct....
This. More so human nature than instinct. It's good to alleviate all the bottled up emotion that men are stereo-typically suppose to hide.
I didn't cry for the longest time and when I was 25 my grandma went off on me in a sense.
She was telling me "she wouldn't always be around to help me" and that "I needed to do more for myself."
I had honestly never pictured a world with her in it but then I did and it was sad.
I didn't lose it in front of her but I walked outside and just let go pretty much.
It was weird. I didn't know what to make of it. Afterwards i asked one of my best friends if that was weird.
He told me "Man, real men cry... ignore all stereotypical macho man bs and act how you feel, say what you think and mean what you do."
Baloney. I shed a few tears when I stubbed my toes pretty bad one time. Of course, I also had some potty mouth to go along with the tears.

I agree, generally speaking.
