I hear teenagers trying to act tough at my school saying that they hate cops and that he would fight a cop if he could. What BS, cops are there to help you, sure there may be the occasional jerk cop. But overall its best to have them to protect you. Does anybody else know of others who hate cops? If you are afraid of cops then i understand, but hating them is going too far. Film-GuyI agree with every word.
I think cops are great guys. I hate it when i hear people say police brutality. If you don't want police brutality, stop breaking the law.

Film-GuyCops are people too, so you're bound to have your share of those who believe that with a badge and title are above the law or can manipulate the system for their own personal agendas. Yet, there are ones out there that try and serve and protect the commonwealth, and for that I commend them. They have to deal with so much, from putting their lives in possible danger, to dealing with stressful situations and negative attitudes.
Yeah I don't like people like that either, I find it funny though cause it always seems the ones who always trash cops always say they'll get the cops if a problem arises.
I remember last year in social kids were trashing the cops because a cop was arresting their friend, then his girlfriend went and was hitting the cop telling him to let her bf out of cuffs so the cop threw her down and arrested her too. I see this as perfectly fine, the cop was doing his job, he doesn't know any of these people then some chick just starts attacking him, why shouldn't she be arrested. They said because she's a girl they didn't have to throw her down, I say what's a faster way to get someone off you, and if they asked her to stop I doubt she would've

exactly, I'm going to go punch a traffic cop right now!
I don't hate cops,
I don't trust them either,
it's not that I've been arrested or had anymore than one speeding ticket,
it's just that there are far too many instances of police corruption to ignore.
Firemen/woman on the other hand, I have complete trust in.
[QUOTE="Mormaso"]lmao cops
When they start following the Constitution, I'll start respecting them. They annoy me and are quite arrogant
Film-Guy
have you met every cop in the world? if not then kindly don't make assumptions.
Sorry, I didn't say that right
I meant many of the cops I have seen or know.
I know good cops, but sometimes I see bad cops. There
The people who usually dislike the cops, are the ones that may probably keep getting in trouble with them.Thorpe89I've dealt with nice cops and complete **** cops.
I wish they were all nice, but as they aren't, I can't completely agree with them when I see them.
I mean, some of what I've dealt with has been a huge WTF, are you ****ing serious? Stuff to make the most immature troll seem... erm mature.

people seem to have a double standard when it comes to girls, they want equal rights but if you treat them like regular people and throw them down when they attack you its wrong? I'm not sexist but to me thats messed up.
I agree, but they don't allways do the best job possible.mattyftm
The fundamental problem with the police is that they are HUMAN. They will always makes mistakes, not to mention its human nature to exploit a position of power.

Yeah, I understand. But it's also a matter of what their training has taught them. If someone assualts them then they have the authority to subdue them and take them into custody, so long as they do it in a reasonable manner. I'd take a simple shove over a baton to the face anyday.[QUOTE="Scarface_tm431"]Yeah I don't like people like that either, I find it funny though cause it always seems the ones who always trash cops always say they'll get the cops if a problem arises.

There is a double standard, girls are naturally smaller than males, and thus it looks worse when people of naturally unequal strength go at it, same thing is looked at with old to young males, but since they are peers, it is looked upon as normal, opposites sexes getting into fights isnt normal, and thus isnt treated as so, of course they want equal rights, but just the ones that better themselves and not accept others that limit them as well, so women need to accept they are different, even with equal rights, it is nature.

==Well, some have had some bad experiences in their past with policemen. There are some rather unfair individuals in the police force, so it's not necessarily that one is trying to "act tough" when they voice distaste for the wide majority of policemen.

Although I agree with you, there have been a few instances where cops have killed someone for almost no reason at all.
most of the cops in my area are rude, racist and down right mean. Pearl_of_Egypt
Not all cops honour the badges they wear. Some misuse their position of power, the victims of this misuse distrust the police from then on and inform their friends of the incident and it spreads. It starts off as distrust of police but if the more these things happen, the more that the distrust turns to hate.

Well considering EVERY job/profession has some shady people, that's kind of a dumb thing to do exclusively for cops

==I didn't see him state the disposition applies only to policemen.
A woman is raped by a black man when she is young. Like it or not, for quite some time she'll carry a natural distrust for black men until she comes to know them. Illogical? In the long run, yes, However, it is a natural reaction to protect oneself. In the same sense that you cannot really blame the woman for being fearful, you can't hold it against an individual that does not hold the police in high regard based on a terrible situation they have been involved with at some point in the past.
The people who usually dislike the cops, are the ones that may probably keep getting in trouble with them.Thorpe89That pretty much sums it up. As far as I can see, they'd prefer to live in country without laws.

Well some of these kids have to gain an image one way or another. If you aren't built hard, you gotta say some real badass stuff like * I hate those police men * :S
