So I was thinking about the use of steroids in sports or any other performance enhancement drugs. Some people are against and will be forever against it because they think its cheating and that health issues arise with the use of it. Others think that they should be used in sports because it equals to more fans which equals to more money. Also if they weren't used not a lot of records would be broken and the game its self would become somewhat boring. If health officials could keep an eye on athletes using the drugs and monitor everything that happens to them. I am personally against the use of steroids. What are your thoughts?

as a pretty serious athlete i am 100% against it, anyone found to have been using them should have the records erased the only exception being if there were no rules in place at the time of ingestion

im against it cause it kinda makes the youth that look up to these athletes see drugs more lightly. plus is cheating if not every athlete is doing it.

I think there should be two categories; the traditional, drug free sports, and then the other lot get to use as many steroids as they like.

i think it would be great fun, watching people pumped up to the eyeballs on steroids throwing stuff over the horizon, jumping the pole vault without the pole, taking hurdles two at a time etc.

Athletes should be required to use steroids, sure it shortens their life, but their life sucks after sports anyway. it would be doing them a favor.

I'm totally against it...

I feel these professional athletes deserve the pay they get through their dedication and endless hours spent practicing, improving, and getting stronger naturally. Take that away, and it's really just wrong...

Of course there are other reasons, but I just wanted to take that approach.

I dont care either way. The people who DO choose to use and abuse will have to live with the knowledge that they didnt do it legit. Thats enough for me.

I'm absolutely for it. Think about this: Athletes and teams are always spending loads of money on the best equipment possible. Why shouldn't they treat their bodies the same way. It's not a temple, it's a tool. Use it for all it's worth.

I don't care, I just don't see why it is a federal affair. Rather than helping keep the homeless people warm at this time of year we are paying a couple of moron congressmen to investigate MLB.
