As a lot of Olympic fans know Phelps the American swimmer recently recieved his 8th gold medal in mens 400m relay race. He has gotton all 8 medals in China beating the world record holder of 7 medals in 1 consecutive Olympic event. In Athens he recieved 6 gold medals for a total of 14 gold medals. To me thats crazy and i don't know how he does it. He literally swam 30 min after winning a race and got first again. he has an inhuman ability to keep his mind excited to a state where his body runs at max performance as some people have stated. What do you think?

I highly, highly doubt it.

I think he just trains that much harder than everyone else. I mean, damn, look at him. He looks like he just ran out of aushwitz and he still eats 12 - freaking - thousand calories every single day.

You know hes doing some intense training to hone that skill. He's got size 14 feet, an arm span of over 2 meters (longer than he is tall), and he has bad teeth.

I highly Highyl doubt it. Phelps is an amazing athlete and someone would've figured out by know if he was using Drugs to boast his performance in the pool.

He is a mesomorphic god. He has perfect genetics and on top of that, he trains like a mad man.

I say no. He volunteers for a new blood testing program that has figured how to test for HGH. It is the same program that 41 year old swimmer Dara Torres is in. If he was taking anything, I doubt he would be in that program.

If your goal was getting eight gold medals, wouldn't you train extra hard so you can do a phenomenal job?

Why is it so absurd that he accomplished what he did? Mark Spitz won seven in one Olympics, and that was over thirty years ago. Since then training, nutrition, techniques, and equipment have all made considerable advancements. Beyond that, Olympians are tested multiple times per day in some cases. I think it's sad that we're in a position where we have to question every great achievement in sports because of losers like Barry Bonds and Jason Giambi.

What a ridiculous thread. Just because he's owning the swimming does not mean he's on drugs. THEN how you would expect use to know if he did? He's obviously a legend. That's why he eats over 20.000 calories each day. If he used drugs we would have been caught as they pee in a cup before and after each swim. Argh!

Sad the way people are today. Someone is good at something so right away people want to bring him down and accuse him of using drugs.Same thing hapens with Lance Armstrong for example.

Maybe he is just really good and trains REALLY hard. Just enjoy watching a great athlete till there is a reason to suspect something. No reason to right off the bat think he is doping.

He probably doesn't, since it seems he was genetically built to swim and the random tests are frequent. No shame is asking though, it's not like it would be a big surprise.

Phelps just has weird genes.. I mean look at his hand and feet, the guy WOULD obviously dominate the entire sport of swimming. He's built, genetically and physically for swimming.
