The bolded are the ones I listen to. Wintersun has only one album to my knowledge, so...

For Isis, "Panopticon" is my favorite. For GSY!BE I suggest "F#A# Infinity", which is my personal favorite. Especially for the song "Dead Flag Blues" All of Therion and AA's albums are great in my opinion. Ensiferum's Debut is amazing as well. Hope that helped.

Most of that list is very good stuff.

If you are considering husker Du, also look into Sugar and Bob Mould solo stuff (most recent).

All Sigur Ros is good, but also look at Angels of the Universe soundtrack by one of their founding members.

Good choice of Scandinavian metal- also look at Entombed, Tiamat, and Emperor. Also MESHUGGA (8-string guitar math metal)!

Placebo is multicultural flawlessness.

Diversity and eclecticism is the name of the game- go for it!

Some of Husker Du's stuff is pretty loud. Explosions is probably the most mellow band in your list.

Hate to bump my thread so soon, but are there any other recommendations that are a lot like the ones listed?
