I'm seriously pissed that Frank Welker is voicing Megatron in the video game, but in the movie he'll be played by Hugo Weaving. To me Welker will always be Megatron.megagenedefinately, he was a good evil person
Not bad...but these were posted on the boards yesterday. As far as the change form the original designs, It was to be expected. Whenever they adapt anything to a movie, nine times outta ten they're always changes from the original source material. Hallenbeck77the transformers are supposed to be beefy trucks and cars though, they look like stick-figures in this
ohwell.. hopefully they dont destroy the origin/etc.. every time someone makes a new movie about something the whole story changesArch_Demonzthey should be able to do that right
Upon hearing the news that they were making a Transformers movie, I wasn't in the least bit interested. After seeing that, I can honestly say...I'm still not interested.metallica_fan42fair enough, we're not all hardcore fans

My guess is that they probably had to go with more realistic designs as opposed to the blocky designs from the original series. I was torn at first, but I'm kinda intrigued. I guess I'm going into this not expecting a whole lot and not expecting a carbon copy of the original series, which is why I'm somewhat looking forward to this. I guess if you go in with low expectations, it might be that much more enjoyable.

that is so lame, you want to make the transformer so that it could be made into a toy in real life
i hate how almost every part of therir body molds and changes when they transform, it was better when they flip, and shifted, and all that

I think for the most part, they'll keep the origin very close to the original, if not exactly like it. All I want is a good mature storyline and I'll be content with that. If the movie isn't good, at least I got the original episodes on DVD to watch.
The Decepticons looks the worst, they look like insect monsters. absolutely awful.
And Megatron? WTF?
Why do people have to care if the scenes or characters in movies are different from the original? Who cares if they make Transformers look like Bionicles?
The reason that they changed it was because the director and Speilberg thought that making a Transformers film with "toylike robots" would be a film for only transformers fans and not anyone else. (Besides, what adult who didn't see transformers would want to see a movie with robots that look like action figures?) So Micheal Bay decided to give transformers a futuristic touch that would attract anyone regardless of knowing what the transformers cartoon is.
And don't blame it on Micheal Bay. He wasn't actually motivated to direct the film and turned it down on the first request. The film wasn't really what he wanted to do.
I'm not really a big Transformers fan, but they are pretty cool... but I hate Michael Bay, he is one of the most chliceed (not sure how that is spelled) ever.
Have you guys noticed how in Armageddon, he shows America to be this extremely superior country and is the only one that possesses advance technology. And every decision is up to the president, on how to stop the meteor, no one else have anything to say, which is very weird since it is the whole world that is at stake. And I remember when the president is holding his speech, there is a montage where they show other countries, and it is so ridiculous, cause there is little kids that is running with a clock radio, and then old men, and families, gather around the little radio to hear the presidents speech... His movies are just so laughable...!
