ive seen it about 6 times, it has many flaws, but it is still a good movie. they dont include hey you in the movie, which pisses me off. the animated parts are amazing. it wouldve been a lot better if they made the part where he turns into a neo-nazi more comprehendable.. it just comes out of nowhere. a lot of other things could have been done to make it perfect. anywho.. still a great movie. nimatoad2000
being on acid would probably help your comprehension problem :P
its been out for like 20 years....lol
And? Yeah, the animated parts were way cooler than anything I've probably ever seen animation-wise.[QUOTE="nimatoad2000"]ive seen it about 6 times, it has many flaws, but it is still a good movie. they dont include hey you in the movie, which pisses me off. the animated parts are amazing. it wouldve been a lot better if they made the part where he turns into a neo-nazi more comprehendable.. it just comes out of nowhere. a lot of other things could have been done to make it perfect. anywho.. still a great movie. modestkraut1291

Actually, it was released in 1982. That's almost 30 years ago, not twenty. And yeah, the animation is great. It's the same person who did the animation for the Fear and Loathing books, as well.
Could someone tell me the whole idea behind the movie?

The main character in The Wall "Pink" builds a wall in his head shutting out all of society and puts himself into isolation after many influences in his life such as an overbearring mother and bad school teachers, until he finds that maybe it wasn't such a good idea but can't escape from the mental wall that he put up and eventually becomes a neo-nazi (which his father died in World War II trying to defeat the Nazi's) and then puts himself on a mental trial and finally destroys the wall. -That is the summary/short/non-detailed plot of the movie.
EDIT: I still need to see the movie and want to see it really bad. Shame Waters had some issues while making The Wall and after The Wall that lead to the band's bitter split.

I hated it. Basically I thought it was pretty average, but it had SO much potential that I ended up hating it.
