I have lived in all the best places but my favorite place was Santa Barbara.Aspen706I really like Santa Barbara too. My Aunt and Uncle live there and we visit at least once a year. Really cool place. For a while I was considering going to college at UCSB.
Edit: To answer you question TC, I really want to live in Jacksonville so I can watch my Jags play. :)
Newfoundland and Labrador, much of which is completely untouched soil.harashawnYou must love the smell of fish ;D
I love the culture. As I said though I have never been there in real life so I would have to experience it myself to see if its all I hope or if its just the grass is greener on the other side mentality. Why is everyone saying Japan? What's so great about it?

Look to be honest I love everything about them. I think the language is beautiful. I think their past is amazing. I just love the country.

I love the sense of history I get from reading about the country. I love the respect that they show toward eachother. There isn't just one thing I like about it I like everything. I can't pinpoint one thing and than do it justice I just think everything is wonderful when I look at them.
I love the clothing they wear, kimono's are so cool to me(and yes I know they don't always wear those). I love their music. I mean I can go on. If you don't like Japan than I won't try to preach to you on the reasons I like it I just am saying I enjoy everything about their culture since you asked =)
I think Naha City, Okinawa, Japan. I had a great time there, and my family is there.
The last picture shows a street (like a alley) between the actual main road (second picture).
What's cool is that even though the population in this city is is low (300k), this place has got a monorail so transportation is really easy. :D
As of right now, I'm going to have to say Philadelphia, PA.
Out of all of the places I've visited, I've liked Philly the most. I'd love to live there (or at least near it) someday in the near future.
However, I haven't been to all of the places that I'd like to visit, both in the U.S. and in other countries. I won't name a place that I haven't visited.
watch people say japan i knew it

I'll say...but they probably don't know how it's like to work there.
I want to live in Medellin or Bogota in Colombia, or New York, or San Fernando Valley
That place looks amazing to me :)I think Naha City, Okinawa, Japan. I had a great time there, and my family is there.

Norway. Everything sounds so nice there. The socialized medicine, the low crime rate, the weather, the lack of conservatism, etc. It just seems so... Peaceful.

Invading China and terrorizing the people and all that?
Interesting.

Like every country has all positive stuff in their history. With how old Japan is you have to take the bad with the good. They we're also a part of World War 2 and we're on the side of Hitler I am of Jewish heritage so if I was going to be upset about something it would likely be that. I take the bad with the good and realize that a country doesn't always have to be judged by the negative issues in its past as long as they move forward to better themselves.Sadly San Antonio has been getting a little more... unsavory lately. It's becoming more drastic in how one area will look nice and higher end and the next area will look like a slum.I'd actually like to live in San Antonio, Texas. I visited there a few years back, and I thought it was amazing. Loved the downtown area, especially the Riverwalk

The whaling honestly doesn't bother me but thats a whole other topic that I honestly don't want to get into. People have very deep views about those issues and I don't have strong ones to argue over when it comes to that. You like their history?

Because japan hasn't been around longer than 100 years  why not just cut off their history from before 1990 and start there while we are at it? I also mentioned germany in my post, and I also like german history.

I'm actually doing this next year after my exams. I plan to go for 2-3months and get a feel of the place.

I envy you. Its my dream to at least visit Japan sometime in my life. I am going to start saving money and learning Japanese for when I do. Even if its just a week I want to know some basic Japanese so I don't feel completely stupid. I learned some Japanese back in middle school and high school but that was over ten years ago and I don't remember any of it unfortunately.I envy you. I've been learning as well.
People here like animu. Japan makes animu. Therefore Japan is the perfect place to live and is exactly like how it is in animu. Why is everyone saying Japan? What's so great about it?
