Hi everyone!

A friend of mine and I have been considering opening a videogame store of some kind for awhile. I actually posted a similar topic on this a few months ago and I got some very useful comments back that helped a bunch.

However, we've been looking around and have stumbled upon a slightly lesser known videogame store known as "Play N Trade".

We were just wondering if anyone has actually been into a Play N Trade store and what the general impression was after you went there. We're trying to look into every possibility for owning a store of our own, and decided that we should try and find out what the general feeling towards Play N Trade is while researching whether or not it would be an intelligent franchise to get involved with the ownership of.

Thanks in advance for any input you have on the issue!

this is seriously funny, because my dad was thinking of doing this. But since you can't buy one in Illinois, we didn't do it. It looks like a cool place, though. Basically, you are able to play a game for like 15 minutes and decide whether you want to buy it. More community based than Gamestop, too. Emphasis on trading used games than just putting used games in for credit.

I dont know if opening a video game store would be the best, EB Games/Gamestop alonge with Best Buy, Walmart etc own the market and I dont see a single unknown store doing the best unless you offer somthing different or better.

There's one in my town. Its pretty cool. They have about 8-10 tvs set up around the room where you can play any game on any system. Pretty fun stuff. They also have monthly tounaments. Last month was GH3, this month is COD4.

I'd say that sounds like a great idea, if you have some real ambition and dedication.
