Force yourself to ride them and see how fun they can be. If you can't force yourself, have someone else do it for you.

go on one and see that it's not so bad. you might want to try something that's not too intense, but i'd say you should at least try to ride one

go to a park and make yourself ride the biggest one there and hopefully you'll enjoy it. thats the only way I know to fix this sort of thing.

EDIT

if you don't ride the biggest or fastest one there will still be that fear lurking in the back of your mind, so go all out.

Go to the nearest amusement park, ride the roller coaster for kids, then work your way up to the biggest one they've got.

Well, unless you plan on riding some, is this really an issue? If you don't enjoy them, don't go on them. >_>

Hmm, I see. Just remember that once you're fastened in, you're going to get off at the end just like everyone else. It's not like you have to do anything.

You wont be a little girl, you will be a man who isnt ashamed to admit he has a fear of something...

i respect that very much, and people will respect that

Most kids won't see it that way.

force yourself, also your more likely to be killed in a car crash on the way too the theme park than actually at the theme park

I'm afraid of roller coasters too. What I did when I went to Universal Studios was just to overcome my fear and just do it. I went on Ripsaw Falls. It was scary when I was on (I was in the first seat >_>) but afterwards I was fine. You just need to realize it will only last a minute and it will be over before you know it. :)

Well, think of it this way. You have a 1 in 150 million chance of dying on a roller coaster ride and a 1 in 4755.1 chance of being killed in an automobile accident. So, they're statistically safer than when you ride in a car or bus. Plus they are more fun.

do you like other rides? I personally love roller coasters but I can't stand anything that spins around in circles. I almost threw up once on the kiddy balloon ride.

It's weird. I had a similar fear until I was about 14. I didn't want to embarrass myself in front of my friends so I just went with them. It's funny how just a few friends help relieve fears.

one thing i do not suggest, if you feel really queasy and you (BPM) heart rate starts going up i don't suggest you go on because you could have a Heart attack or go into cardiac arrest. if your really, really, really scared.

I used to be terrified of rollar coasters. My first time was in 4th grade and I literally wet my pants and for 4 years I would not get on them. Then on a field trip at the end of 8th grade, our grade went to the theme park. I didn't plan to go on any coasters but then the girl whom I had a crush on came up and asked me to go with her on the biggest one in the park. I was scared as hell but I didn't want to look like a chicken to her so I went. Right before the ride, I told her I am scared of coasters and she told me to scream like a girl and forget about the height and it would be fine. And of course it worked and to this day, I love rollar coasters!

I've been on the roller coaster that was used in the film. It was filmed in Vancouver and they used the corckscrew in PlayLand. It's boring. The old wooden roller coaster in PlayLand is amazing. It's like 52 years old but It's in the top ten for best Wooden Coasters.

Just go on with a friend. It's not that scary.
