Please help my friend

I have another friend at another school who doesnt have any real friends who go there with him. He has nobody to talk to and everyone hates him and treat him like hes nobody. He tried to improve his scenario by joining clubs and sports teams but was bad at talking to people, so people laughed and insulted him. He is really smart and is taking all the hardest classes, but is not working his best and is getting sub-par GPAs like 3.5 and 3.8 weighted.

What can anybody supposed to do to help him. He knows nobody he can talk to about problems or lessons.

he also says hes pissed off he isnt able to do his best work

I have no clue. Not one person hates me, and I am friends with everyone in the school (all the nerds, jocks, stoners...ect), but I guess it's a gift. :D
