It's flip not flick. "I flicked someone off at the bus-stop today" WRONG! "I flipped someone off at the bus-stop today" CORRECT! :D

it's both actually....

In Western cultures, the finger (as in giving someone the finger) is a popularly known obscene hand gesture made by extending the middle finger of the hand while bending the other fingers at the second knuckle. A known variation includes extending the thumb as well. The gesture is also known as "the bird", "the highway salute", "flipping the bird", or "flipping/flicking (someone) off." The gesture is mostly used as an alternate way of saying "**** You." However in the Middle East this is a blasphemous sign.

Wow, I'm not the only one with a couple stupid friends that think it's "flick." How dumb do you have to be? Tell your friend you are completely right, and he's completely wrong.
