pokemon company seeing red after hearing impaired goof

a typo back home in japan has caused alot of uncomfortableness down at the pokemon company when in a recent episode of the animated tv show .. (assuming you had teletext on) ash rather than called pikachu his pal or companion in a conversation, calls the famous yellow rat instead his love stick. what is a love stick, to quote lady gaga "a disco stick".
